The Mole - Your final thoughts

Well tonight is the night when the Mole will finally be revealed. From the first epispode I have believed the Mole is Alaina and at the very end I still hold this opinion. She has just done enough wrong to not look too obvious. Well if I am wrong the Mole has fooled me well.

Got one part right, predicted Alaina.

I was hoping that Marc would win it.

mongrelpunt, you might aswell, that's a mighty fine effort! Then we could have a Bigfooty representative on the show .

In this show, you need to put aside your FEELINGS and WHO YOU WANT IT TO BE and who you DON'T WANT IT TO BE.

This is where I screwed up. From episode 1 I had no clue who it was but as we got further into the show, Alaina was being SO obvious. However I didn't pick her ... why?

I DIDN'T WANT IT TO BE HER. I thought 'If it's her, she's the worst mole ever'. On this show you just need to look for the clue and what people are and are not doing.

CHANNEL 7 - Where is the reunion episode? This episode is almost better than the final. Way better than the first ep.

I picked C-R as the mole, Marc as the winner, Alaina as the mole. Full credit to all those three.

How disappointed did Marc look? You had to feel sorry for him.

Bad news for The Mole.

* There wont be any reunion episode where all the contestants are reunited and talk about how The Mole sabotaged the tasks over dinner. The Mole revealed was on the last 10 minutes of tonights episode - too brief in my opinion.

* There may not be a Series 4 either. I was reading an online article about how the ratings and populaity for The Mole this series had gone down from last year and Channel Seven wouldn't make a future decision on the shows future until later on this year.

I think they should shelve the show for a year, wait until the flood of new/half-arsed reality/game shows has ended, then bring it back. This third series was still quite original, so there's definitely life left in it, but the audience may not realise that in the current TV marketplace. People are getting sick of 'modern' gameshows right now.

How pissed am I, that's two years in a row I've picked the winner as the Mole! And you just had to feel sorry for Marc, poor bloke looked totally devastated in his tent after he realised he'd lost. A pity they're not doing a How You Could Have Known episode, but I think they covered enough at the end to make it sort of forgiveable.

Unfortunateley my son gave me a clue that was text messaged saying 'watch me steal $1500' and it was obvious that Alaina didn't bet her $5K so it gave it away. I did think it would be Crystal-Rose or Marc before though so I was wrong. What puzzles me is that most of the clues about the mole I picked up each week and blamed Alainaa (trip wire, platypus identification, mobile when driving etc) but I didn't string them together and consider her as the mole at any time until the last episode.
I'm glad Marc didn't win. He was pretty cruel to the others at times.

I decided that Alaina was the mole after the episode where they chose what car Yasmin would want. The question and answer assignment where Joe was suffering huge amounts of 'pain' or so the other contestants thought.
One of the questions was "what car company is the bull a logo of?"

The answer was Lamborghini and no one knew the answer, although Alaina had travelled in one that same day.
As it turned out that was one of the parts that she sabotaged.

I thought it rated well? What were Ch. 7 expecting? Ratings in the mould of Big Brother?

As for Alaina being the Mole, well whoever it was that said that you have to put personal opinions aside, is right. I refused to believe she was the Mole because I just didn't think that the Mole would be that blatantly obvious. Everything she said she did, I always thought she was just being a blonde. And it turns out it was all the work of the Mole. God knows how the other contestants didn't figure it out. IMO, Micheal Laffy (Series 2 Mole) was the best Mole. What he did was subtle yet effective.

How about the Ch. 7 people not showing Alaina in the opening credits of episode 1 (Could've known it in the first minute). She also was never typed into the computer at the end of every episode. Sneaky Buggers!

SMW, the show had very good ratings for the first month, but after that the ratings for whatever reason slumped.

Channel 7 is having a shocker of a year with Reality TV shows: Popstars 3 was an absolute fizzer & The Weakest Link has been scrapped/put on hold until October 2002.

Mr Eagle has brought up an important point which could win back Sevens ratings and thats to bring back Family Feud with the curly-haired Rob! That show was a 5pm winner, why it got scrapped I'll never know!

Rumour has it that the show was cancelled in a panic after someone used Rob's wig to clean the Ch 7 toilets and they couldn't sculpt another one in time for the taping
