Wasn't it good seeing some dangerous small players at the feet of the big fellas. We all expected Brown to be good but Rodan and Krakouer looked dangerous every time the went near the ball.

Rodan was so quick at running the ball out of a dangerous tight situation while Krak was just such a clever, clean mover. He also nailed a number of tackles, sometimes when right out of position.

Hartigan also looked like another Chaffey / Newman type. The kid did OK on a dangerous Didak.

yeah sure went alright

oh look we had a few recent recruits play all right tonight.

Rodan, Krak'r, Cogs , Johnno, Brown, Hyde, Harti, Morro, Schulz.
Stafford, Flem, Fiora, Zantuck, Newman = 14 players since Spud joined RFC.

Well done to these players, Miller, Greg Beck, Spud and the footy dept and the coaching and conditioning guys.

Credit also to the players not in tonights squad ...without them, these guys wouldn't show that intensity.

All in all...they showed all the signs of a healthy club.

Board issues? Wiz cup loss? Ha...lol.

Go tigers.

Ready Demons?

Hartigan looked alright. He did make a few mstakes but his game was impressive. Very nice skills and I cant wait for him to have more games under his belt.

Great pick up.

It was good seeing Rodan and Krak at their best. It worked very well. It was good when the ball started to get going from the backline that Krak was art of the chain to get it into the forward line.

im predicting a huge year from krakour.he has been unleashed so to speak.there was never any doubt about his silky skills however what has given him an extra string to his bow is his tackling.for a kid with his build he would be one of the best tacklers in the comp.
rodan started a bit slow but his "hoover" style of play certainly set up a few goals.
hartigan while still raw did a few nice things.was impressed with his little fist tap to campbell on the wing showed footy smarts.

cheers!

well i got to say i tipped you guys for the wooden spoon at the start of the year. But having seen you last night i was very very impressed. Your big guns are all fit and firing now, and your new blood is kicking on, and your recruiting has been very sound. Now it's just your administration! hehe

but seriously, very impressed with krak, developed a new side of his game and just matured a lot more, if you can get more games out of him like last night your on a winner. Rodan was magnificent, his one grabs off the deck were very very very impressive. Richo at FF is also a winner. Ray hall at CHB was also impressive. And morro looks like he has the potential to be every bit as good as jonno brown

Andy Krak's attack on the footy and the player with the ball was absolutely sensational especially when he's not a big guy. And when he gets the ball most of the time he uses it effectively.

Agree NeoBlaze about Rodan picking the ball up of the deck cleanly and one hand at pace. If he can average somewhere between 15-20 possesions a game that will be a good return for him rotating between the forward line and midfield.

But next week is the big test for Krakouer and Rodan to see if they can play like that for back-to-back games. Consistency has been the problem for these two to date during their careers.

Hartigan showed some good signs, Didak kicked two on him and had two posters so he was a bit lucky he didn't have more kicked on him. He shows good composure though when he's got the ball and doesn't panic.

Our tackles seemed to stick more last night than they have in previous years and that was one of the major differences between us and the pies last night.

.

It always has been.
I like the thought of him"coming into his own."
His 2nd and 3rd attempts are always there wether
he's playng Forward or mid-field.

Agree that his 2nd and 3rd efforts have always been there. But last night it was probably a bit more apparent as he spent a lot more time in the midfield so he was around the ball more than he was last season.
