how could one have loathed the husky voiced bonnie?![]()
I think it was the hair - I was more keen on the Annie Lennox type. I'm incredibly shallow.

Human League, Frankie, The Cult - all magnificent!!!
Saw The Cult at The Venue in St.Kilda (oh, how we miss thee) back in...'87 (???). When Love Removal Machine kicked in with that stolen riff and kick drum, the squeezed in sweaty goth crowd heaving as one, and Ian Astbury on top of the Marshall stacks screaming "Baby, baby, baby!!!!" - some kinda rock 'n roll heaven, I tell ya!

I think a lot of people became ashamed to admit liking "Relax" once they learnt what the song was about.
Still a great song I think.
...and some of us spent some of our pre-teen-youth in a dark studio clapping along to this...still love Jo!

This one isn't a guilty pleasure.
Liked it when I first heard it, still stands up well now.
"Guilty pleasure" songs is a great topic.
Here's a couple of songs I just love, and listen to when I'm certain no-one can hear me (I can hear you all laughing already);
Did you actually go to the Countdown recordings? I wanted to go there so badly, but didn't know how to get tickets lol![]()
Some of the music starting to appear makes me think I should go out and by a slab of Woodstock Bourbon & Cola pre-mix.
So, to get into the spirit. One of my favourite "guilty pleasure" tunes...
Get game and post yours and open yourself up to ridicule.
Think I was about 14 when I started going to gigs. StKilda was the place to do it, never once got asked for ID.The Bunnymen may have played there - didn't see it, sadly. You must have been underage like me to see The Cult - they didn't care back then. Even saw Icehouse, pre-mullet thankfully, at The Venue when I was 15.

. My dad (who's 74) still has a major "thing" for Annie, and plays her song, Sweet Dreams, at times no daughter needs to know about
Listening to some old Fleetwood Mac.
) my guilty pleasure songs are, here's a couple of songs that I like, that even my daggiest girlfriend tells me are daggy! If only I'd known!
Should I study that clip to try and spot you lol! Did you have a mullet? Perm? Tails?
"Mambo #5" isn't, I don't think, a guilty pleasure for me because I simply don't listen to it anymore (even when I posted it I didn't play it).Pivotonian, have you given us your 'worst of the worst' yet? Was Mambo number 5 just the entree? Come on, time for the main!!! Won't be as bad as mine.
Oh shit!Getting a little weirded out with the Annie Lennox talk. My dad (who's 74) still has a major "thing" for Annie, and plays her song, Sweet Dreams, at times no daughter needs to know about

I think a guilty pleasure has to be something that, try as you might, you find you keep listening to it even though you know you shouldn't be.
It's about sex yeah?
Yeah. There are plenty of rumours around regarding the specifics the song was discussing but, in general, it is fair to say that is what the song is about.

)Same.see, this is where i struggle as i dont have anything i think i shouldnt be listening to.
will put my ipod on shuffle and see what i can hear.
