Can't tell you how much I love The Pixies, well maybe I can if you have a spare few hours! Listened to them all day yesterday while recovering from an awesomely fun early Christmas party. Here's one to finish the "name" theme...

You might've mentioned your Pixies love a few times before. And yeah, these early Christmas parties can be great, or messy, or a bit of both.

Reminded me of this one..

When I'm With You is in my 10 Ten favourite pop songs of all time - possibly nudging the Top 5.

It is breathless perfection.

So magnificent numerous bands and artists have based their whole careers on it (Pet Shop Boys, I'm looking at you).

Small trivia - oddly enough, When I'm With You wasn't really a hit anywhere in the world, with the exception of France (a massive Number One) and Australia (Top 20). Ahead of it's time for electronic pop, it would have been massive if released a couple of years later.

I had never listened to Enter Sandman (not a Metallica aficionado) but don't mind their selections, Everlong my favourite of the lot.

They've been coping a lot of stick on twitter because Hey Jude didn't make the 1000 at all.

I would've put 6 and 9 a bit further down the order and included 'Creep' by Radiohead, and Black Sabbath's 'Paranoid' in the top 10, but not a bad list at all.

For the 'summer' theme, pretty sure this song isn't about summer, but it's a great tune, and has 'sun' in the title so it'll do nicely;
