Ok have used new buttons like system on Hayes last post and I am already over it. Nothing personal Hayes as I think your posts are sensational, but really do we need all the icons? Is this for 12 year olds?

Yep agree, I liked when there was only the one "like" button. Don't think need anything else.

I like the new touch i think your right, it'd be better just to have the old fashioned like... and a few smilies for fun.

Yep agree, I liked when there was only the one "like" button. Don't think need anything else.

It's good to have a like/dislike button (like reddit), but apart from that, the others seem kind of excessive...

Dislike button, I can see but would think that this just opens up threads to personal arguments over that. God knows it is easy enough to take the wrong impression from the written word, without a dislike next to something you have written.

Can we start a thread, picking the date on which they ditch this and go back to the Like or Reply options? And the prize should be put up by the smiling techno on BF who devised this.

I don't think your name should be put up to it, but say a post has 20 likes and 9 dislikes, it just comes up with an overall score of 11. That way, you can just see whether the post is popular opinion or trash without getting personal.

Has anyone else noticed that the icons only take up around a quarter of the line? Obviously there is further space for a whole new raft of these that will be introduced over coming months. Some of these may, or may not include:

- "On the Nose" - large nose with someone sitting on it Desperately needed for many Essendon supporters current posts

- "Horizon" - landscape icon for those comments, that we see a fair way off happening, eg Essendon coming forward with a full admission of guilt

- "Distant Star" - for those occasions when the likelihood, is so remotely, infinitely small, of ever happening. eg to be given generously to all Freo posts that the next FA gun will go there

- "Witches / Wizards Hat" - can be applied to posts that have no rational reason, or logic, and can only be explained by the existence of magic

- "Cross" - for all those posts where we can agree that yes we were cruxified by the umpires today

- "Straight Jacket" - for all delusional posts For instance could be used in posts that still insist that Essendon did nothing wrong and that one man, with no club direction, or supervision, took advantage of them

- "Two Left Feet / Two Right Feet" - for applying to posts where we wish to show agreement with the appalling state of players foot skills, ie think Jones / Gilberts discussions

- "Airport Runway" - for all liked posts on lengthy issues, ie Saad's goal kicking approach and follow through

- "Guillotine" - for discussions where we also agree that the player named should be given the chop from the team

- "Carrot" - for agreement where we also think that the player named is a donkey

If it is felt that there is a need to move to shiny icons, to catch and keep our attention, lets get serious and add dozens more then. If we get enough we won't even have to type, just add icons.

But wasn't one of the strengths of the old system that we could see who agreed with what we had posted. Over time, you see similarities of thought, not just from their posts, but from their likes. Now lets count icons. Yaaaaaaah

True. I've changed my mind. Get rid of the superfluous extra symbols!

Current thought is that there is a work experience kid at BF and he has done it.

I think disagree should be used when the post contains well thought out responses and is well presented. However you disagree with the sentiment.

Dislike for when they're talking crap.

Would you dislike a post that has bad news in it? Cause you normally like it when there's good news.
