You can see the cricket nets/pitch nursery area just to the north of the stadium.

It looks good, a nice feature. Shame there won't be any, or very few, real night games due to time difference (AFL). Unless the AFL takes a gamble and schedules a second Friday or Saturday night game starting at a later time.
I expect any socceroos games, or other events where a world body rather than an East coast body is in control, to start at 730 local. or thereabouts

I wonder if it would be BankWest Perth Stadium - fixtures would show (BPS)
or BankWest Stadium (BS).
or BWS

BPS most likely, can’t see BWS being allowed as that’s basically free advertising for the BWS liquor store chain

I assume they don't light up the middle bit because it is near the big screens and would make it harder for people to view them

Does look like the roof shades many seats on the upper tier of the southern side. Would love to see a timelapse video to see exactly how much it shades. I sat on northern wing at Subi, still looks like it would be best to avoid the southern side.

I reckon for winter you'd avoid the eastern end due to rain being blown in with the wind (maybe front half) and south-east due to the sun.

During cricket season maybe the front half of the north half of the stadium. So maybe best to be on the south side.
