I'd have Sarfraz Ahmed in at 7 and keeping ahead of Bevan, which isn't really a first name really either.

Happy to turf Bevan, easily the weakest there (I do have a friend called Bevan, so counts in my book). He's more in there though as an all-rounder rather than keeper (have Stewart as the keeper) as none of the spinners were particularly inspiring (Darren Sammy, Paul Harris)

I don't like keepers opening in tests haha. Also Darren Sammy bowled seamers.

If you can find their birth certificates, that is. Shahid Afridi's far from alone in playing with his real age.
When Aaqid Javed came over in the early 90s he was barely pubescent according to the Pakistanis but possessed a fine five o'clock shadow.

Bloody rain, I thought I'd fill in some time and be purely self indulgent. I've been watching Test cricket since the 1974-75 Lillee/Thommo ashes series. Here is a team since then, not necessarily the best player averages etc. just my favorites to watch.

Graeme Wood
Geoff Boycott
Inzamam Ul Haq
Mark Waugh
Steve Waugh

Can anyone guess the theme, and help me with 6-11?
Mark Waugh isn't even the top 20 for running out his partner in terms of totals or percentage wise in tests surprisingly enough. The XI for me would be:

Graeme Wood
Geoff Boycott
Inzimam-ul-Haq
Allan Border
Steve Waugh
Garry Sobers
Asif Iqbal
Ian Botham
Gerry Gomez
Ridley Jacobs (+)
Patrick Pollock

EDIT: Sobers obviously to bowl spin with Pollock, Botham, Gomez and Iqbal all bowling seamers not to mention Waugh sometimes as well

I just wanted him to bat with Steve. 11 percent of their partnerships end in run outs

The new Cricket Captain game finally has World XI teams when you go into the tournament section, so that gave me an idea about who could you put in an all time World XI vs Asia XI since it's a bit over 10 years since the Tsunami. For me:

World XI:

Jack Hobbs (c)
Herbert Sutcliffe
George Headley
Jacques Kallis
Greg Chappell
Garry Sobers
Adam Gilchrist (+)
Richard Hadlee
Malcolm Marshall
Shane Warne
Jim Laker/Glenn McGrath (depending on sub continental or elsewhere)

Asia XI:

Sunil Gavaskar (c)
Virendar Sehwag
Kumar Sangakkara
Sachin Tendulkar
Mohammed Yousuf
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (+)
Imran Khan
Kapil Dev
Wasim Akram
Anil Kumble
Muttiah Muralitharan
