I looked it up...

I was right. NZ however are right on top of one.

Fair, we'll be fine then

I experienced a 6.2 when I was in Tokyo once, came at night, the whole building was shaking and swaying, didn't get up though, just kept sleeping

Also just on Trump. What does he do with all his businesses now? Like he cant run his global empire and be President.

"Blind trust" by giving it to his sons or daughters apparently

He already wants to go ahead with the keystone pipeline when his company has stakes in it, no conflict of interest or anything. Being president's gonna make him shit tons of money

So you're suggesting he is just gonna do both. That's not in America's best interest.

Fair enough.

Geez what a huge joke America is right now. Can you imagine Trump dealing with world leaders, I mean he cant be taken seriously. It's all hilarious.

It's like us appointing Hodgson, it's funny if you aren't us but must be ****ing awful as a sane American right now

Has anyone seen Black Mirror.

The show is blowing my mind.
Couple of friends recommended it so watched the first season. First 2 eps were a bit odd but the 3rd one was awesome, definitely hooked on it now.

RD and PF were groundbreaking at the time, but viewed now you wouldn't appreciate that so much. I think the dialogue in Tarantino films is ridiculous. Tries way too hard to be cool - which I know is intentional but for me it's overkill and gets in the way

Film I saw the other day for the first time in years was 48 Hours. Great film, really holds up well. Would never get made today though that's for sure

PF?

I agree about the language. Swearing isn't a problem for me unless it's in every sentence. Which it seemed to be in RD. It just takes away from the film a bit.

Reservoir Dogs was shit. Jackie Brown was excellent and is v underrated.

Always liked Jackie Brown. As good as Pulp Fiction for me, the ending is probably what detracts some from rating it higher.

The De Niro / Bridget Fonda car park scene is ridiculously good. Great acting from them both. And I blame this movie for 3 Kangol caps I have but never wear.

Agree that Jackie Brown is his most underrated movie, True Romance is great too but he only wrote that.

Reservoir Dogs is my favourite by far though. I get that some can find his style too OTT at times but I think the dialogue, characters and pacing were spot on here. The opening diner scene is probably the best example of QT's ability to write small talk and it does an amazing job of introducing the characters and mapping out their futures. Also, the torture scene is probably my favourite movie scene of all time. Just everything going on here is perfect, the soundtrack, the diegetic sounds when Mr Blonde steps outside that add that extra layer of realism, the pan away etc.

Every time I watch RD I'm hanging off every word but I've found his more recent stuff has really struggled to hold my attention at times and I couldn't get into the Kill Bill movies at all.

Some of the idea that is has for different episodes with future technology is really intriguing.

Also so many episodes just kick you right in the balls at the end. It's like a modern day Tales from the Crypt mixed with Outer Limits. It's scary, it science fiction, it's great story telling.

I'd recommend it also.
