I'm sure you can mate, but your opinions seem to be based off left wing media and entitled, whiny celebs. I don't agree with everything Trump says (just like most sane people won't agree 100% with any politician). But I'm willing to give him a chance and welcome the opportunity for a mass shake-up of the political establishment which has been long overdue

Well they aren't. Trump is a parasite that I disliked long before he ran for office. He was a laughing stock. If you think he'll shake-up the political establishment, you are very much mistaken.

You are certainly very much entitled to your opinion.

I'm afraid he's already shaken up the establishment, and if congress passes even half of his bills then the world will be on a very different course from here.

Why do you call him a parasite? Explain to me why you are so offended by what he stands for...

the fact that he would build housing estates and refuse to sell them to african american, Latinos or immigrants is why i think he's a parasite. the fact that he set up a university whose whole objective was to rip people off is another reason.

He doesn't really stand for anything except for self interest and despite shitcanning wall street during the election campaign, he has hired half of Goldman Sachs exec committee and Chevron to advise him. That worked out really well the last time a president did that. He's really draining the swamp lol

I'm surprised he hasn't named David Duke as US ambassador to Africa.

Executive orders don't go through congress mate. That's the point. Whether you agree with his policies or not, by avoiding congress, he has effectively abandoned democracy.

All I'm saying is give him time. Don't be a sheep and jump on th hate trump bandwagon, just because your favourite celebrity said he was a bad person. Be an individual for once in your life
I find it funny that you are calling anyone with an anti-trump opinion a sheep, while at the same time you are completely sucking up his "anti-establishment" propaganda despite the fact that his actions are about as pro-establishment as a president could be. If anyone here is being brainwashed here it's you.

What, by appointing corrupt, career-politicans? Woo, what a draining of the swamp!

Pro-establishment views? Lol please. The political establishment up until 2016 has been a leftist elite pushing globalisation upon one and all. Finally we've started to see some push-back on that. Even now though, in certain quarters, if you announce you voted Brexit you'll get sneered at. I expect it's even more true in the US with Trump. Takes far more guts and individuality to come out as a supporter of one of those than it does to say you were for remain or Clinton. That should tell you where the "establishment" is at

You mean like you sneer at progressives? You can't have your cake and eat it too mate.

That's not the argument petal

You've lost me. You're complaining about the left and the elite sneering at people who want to vote for someone who represents bigoted, sexist, corrupt views, but you happily demean, talk down to, and generally laugh at people who try to discuss these things with any view other than your own.

Do you even understand what the establishment is and what it means to be anti-establishment? All Trump is doing is opposing the views of his democrat predecessor, that is not being anti-establishment it's being Republican.

He is installing old white billionaires (the establishment) into powerful roles in politics and being their puppet, he is removing universal health care for the masses as it is costing the establishment too much money, he is stopping immigration into the country as it is a drain on federal resources, he is removing home loan safety nets for the lower economic classes and he proposing to fund a wall on the mexican border by increasing taxes on food from Mexico that will be paid for by the lowest economic classes of American people, all while falsely claiming that it is Mexico will pay for it. Everything he is doing is for the benefit of the economic establishment, of which he is a part of. The difference now is that the economic and the political establishment are becoming one and the same, which isn't good for anyone but themselves.

Are you ever able to post without virtue signalling?

The discussion was centred around who the political establishment were. To suggest Trump was part of the political establishment is absurd.

Who suggested he was? The suggestion, correctly, is that he's happy to continue the establishment without making any effective change to the political make up of Washington. I highlighted part of your post which I've noticed a fair bit in your comments which is grossly hypocritical.

We are talking about the "political" establishment, which has been steadily moving in a left direction for some years - mainly due to the globalist agenda which benefits the big businesses and pretty much no one else. So yes, Trump represents a break from that ideology.

Elhad was suggesting he was.

You are getting confused with what you perceive as the "establishment" and the "political establishment". The establishment Trump belongs to is in no way part of the political one. Or at least it wasn't

I'm suggesting he is happy to continue the existing political establishment. You're trying to mince words to spin and flex things to mean something entirely false.

This is exactly the issue, the financial establishment which has for years controlled the political establishment is what Trump is a part of, and he is now the figurehead of the political establishment which is going to result in them becoming one and the same. By no means is any part of his presidency going to be anti-establishment, it's just one replacing the other.

I'm not all as it seems we are in total disagreement on what or whom the political establishment actually is. You see it one way, I see it another

Thankfully enough people saw it differently to vote him in. At this point, pretty much anyone who is anyone consider him something of a pariah, so not sure how that adds up with your post.

Jesus Christ, it's like talking to a brick wall. No one is suggesting Trump is part of the political establishment, what is being suggested is he is happy to continue it with the appointments he's made, and as he is part of the financial elite, the bringing together of the two and creating a new monster is concerning in and of itself and is in no way, shape or form anti-establishment.
