I swear to god Austin Powers has ruined my enjoyment of the Connery Era Bonds. That boat scene in... Thunderball, I think it was? (God, Thunderball suffered the most.) I was just laughing like made.

Goldeneye was my favourite. It nice to see Bond actually get along with another 00 agent, we need more of that.

And everyone forgets about Aussie Bond Lazenby.
He had a bad agent.

Diamonds are Forever would have worked a lot better with him getting revenge on Blofeld compared to connery phoning in a performance.

Also the ending to OHMSS is the saddest scene in any bond movie

Xenia was a great bond girl growing up ;)

What a way to go out it would be....

um. Batman is nothing like Bond. Craig is defo not the best. At best he's third behing Connery and Moore.

Bourne is also nothing like Bond. First 3 are great. Best not to ruin it by watching the last 2.
I saw the one with Renner which was average. Havent seen Damons new one though. Not great though huh?

Also, saw Logan last night.

Not going to lie, didn't actually love it. Am sad that's it for HJ in Wolverine though. One of the more perfect cast roles in my lifetime.

So a few things that seemed a bit odd to me (which could just be I don't know the universe as well as I could):

Why did getting over the Canada border all of a sudden mean the kids were safe? The bad guys chased them into Mexico, why would they not chase them into Canada?

What was the terrible thing Charles did in West Chester?

Who was the albino guy and has he been referenced before?

The movie just really felt like a really long goodbye. I didn't know any spoilers going in but the plot was pretty obvious throughout. Only thing I didn't really see coming was when Charles died.

Hanson goes bang...

“I believe there are some that want to live a good life and a quiet life,” she said. “But you tell me — you line up a number of Muslims, who’s the good one?”

Bond & Batman are the same storyline. Good guy beats villain every time. We all know the ending before the movie starts

Only difference is comic villains vs international villains. And Batmobile vs whatever it is Bond drives

That's breaking it down to the most basic component.

Good vs bad is the same story in just about every movie ever written.
