It's as much a national sport as any other individual sport is.
Being the leading individual sport I think it’s less relevant where someone is from than any other. I never went for Hewitt or the Poo over guys like Rafa or Agassi because of the flag next to their name. Might be alone in this but nationality means nothing to me when having favourite tennis players. But come Davis cup time id want them to win every time but never wanted them to win the slams because they weren’t in my favourite half dozen players. Rafter was at the time but not because of the flag

You have to do it in tandem with weed in order to get said appeal. It’s not a rush, but a one minute-long, super-intense trip.

Did it a few times whilst star-gazing. Incredible.
You should try DMT if you think nangs are intense.

Yeah, I can understand that with tennis, it is about the individual more than their nationality. I’ve been following tennis for over 20 years and have never had a favourite Australian player. Too many great players past and present (Federer, Sampras, Nadal, Djokovic) to care too much about what the likes of Kyrgios, Tomic, Hewitt are doing. Maybe the media can help with that too. Kyrgios seems to be in the top 20 or thereabouts regularly, so he must be winning more games than he losers, and yet whenever he’s shown on a highlights package it is less about him winning a match and more about his latest nutty outburst. It’s easy to dislike the guy and not want to watch him play against some random player. The Davis Cup is the only thing in tennis where most people will follow their national team rather than a player from another country.

Same with Basketball. I have probably watched a couple NBL games in these past 25 years because the NBA is the greatest league in the world. But come a World Cup (Australia and Greece) and Euro Basket tournament (Greece), I will always follow where I am from.

Tearing your hair out?

Go down a wikipedia rabbit hole and learn about something irrelevant or look up the locals guide to where to eat/drink on honeymoon etc.

Grab a nice Instagram book about New York and drift away.
Haha actually got one of these last time we were in NY!

I'd love a bit of quiet at work, it's ******* nuts.

So much bad press lately as well.
Spewing. To be honest, I'd kinda rather it be busy than dead. I'm literally sitting on Big Footy and FB inbetween waiting for things to come in.

Was meant to finish up Thursday, I've asked if I can finish tomorrow. Don't see why it would be an issue, up to work from that same hour so they don't have much reason to say no (though would be in their right to).

Damn, what happened?

Don’t make it too known you’re ahead or don’t have enough on your plate they might question the headcount at some point. By the sounds of it they really should be

No, it's just that I'm efficient and dug them out of the hole they were in.

They were five days behind when I started. I went in early every day to get to where I am at.

They're not gonna get rid of me either, they can see the benefits I am bringing.

Might not be you but people in your team. If there’s 5 peoples worth of work and it’s a team of 8 a smart manager is going to look to cull one or two. So whilst the job is safe it could throw others under the bus if they are over resources which could create a soccial conflict or two. Obviously not a big deal just something to be aware of

Anyone see the John Oliver report on the wwe? Pretty interesting

Would be interesting to see how it’s welfare conduct compares to similar enterprises such as UFC or boxing. The Vince interview reaction was bizarre. A bit selectively one-sided, but not a great look for sure.

Would of been better if they left Roman Reigns jokes out. Felt weird given what they covered and him having cancer.
Yeah I thought so too but I guess they were trying to show how much the fans can persuade the wwe.

That interview was crazy. Couldn’t believe you’d risk doing that when people have recorded you.

Really really interesting.
Knew pretty much all of it being a fan as is but I'm glad it's getting mainstream attention and might make them actually make some changes to better protect them after they finish up.

They have such a bloated roster, they could easily rotate through the year and do some sort of "off season" where they take a couple of months off to recuperate.

The "Reigns looks like a pedo" joke was a bit of a miss but it's frustrating that some seem to be dismissing the rest of the show just because of that one comment. Not sure if they are largely in denial about the WWE actually being a scummy employer or what it is.

Him having cancer doesn't really relate to what they talked about though. He didn't get it from wrestling.

John Oliver has to be one of the biggest tossers out there in the current public realm. How anyone can find that campaigner funny is beyond me

Why so?

He’s just not funny. All he ever does are Trump jokes, and that gets stale. He totally takes his shctick from an old comic in the U.K. from the 80’s - Ben Elton. Back then being a left wing comic was new and there was an anti-establishment feel to it. Oliver just comes across as a pandering sjw with zero originality and not an ounce of genuine humour in him.

Does that answer your question?
