Was very watchable content and looked like at times it would get really good but I think it didn't get up to any more than a 7/10 show.
I think this perfectly encapsulates my thoughts.

Was there as well, a full strength France squad was too good an opportunity to not go. Muscat really cleaned in up, horrible tackle. Looked like Muscat spat as well, ugly scenes.

Horrible footballer. Remember his tackle on Adrian Zahra? I went to high school with Adrian’s brother and we played in the same Indoor Soccer team together (late 1990’s) and sometimes he’d bring Adrian into play if we were short a player. This kid was about 8 years old and just absolutely destroying the other team (16-17 year olds). Everyone who would stop by outside the arena would just look on in amazement at this little kid. He was a good kid, too.

Just imagine being barely 21 years old and being taken out by a near 40 year old with one of the worst tackles you will ever see by a thug known for those sorts of tackles. Pathetic!

Whereabouts did you play indoor?

Thought so. Same here!

It was a great centre. My team I played on found about 5 Croatia 1998 tops and we wore those.Hey, they were great looking tops.

I remember we were kicking the ball before the start of our first ever game in the centre and the “referee” asked for the ball back to start the match and a mate of mine just booted it from halfway thinking he was Davor Suker. Well, from that point forward our team was very much disliked by that referee lol.

If anyone wants to watch a good series. Try Hannibal. It went for 3 seasons before being cancelled but highly recommended despite that.

Anthony Hopkins Hannibal is amazing but Mads Mikkelsen as TV Hannibal is such a great performance.

I'm a very limited soccer player and played either as a defender or GK. Decent reflexes to keep but as a defender I'd use my footy (AFL) background to basically turn that centre into a WWE ring and would often send myself or the opponent flying into the side netting

I hated playing indoor against footy players. Their natural instinct was to always go for the man and not the ball.

As soon as you get them thinking that they leave the ball and then there is no man to get and the ball just arrives at your feet unopposed lol

Moving back to NZ end of the month so I might over there. At the very least will play summer AFL over there.

Might play soccer next season with a couple of the guys I know over there
Still scored one of the best indoor goals I have seen!

I scored from my own half in indoor once.
Shanked a lob to my teammate that the keeper spilled through his hands Rob Green style and in.

Ever scored two own goals in a match? I chipped my own keeper trying to pass back to him (he was too close to me) and then a cross came in later on and I headed it to the keeper thinking he was standing in his goal (where he should have been lol). ****ing great memory.

Definitely not.

I get lucky goals, not unlucky own goals.

Yeah saw that this morning. Honestly, why didn't more sporting codes have something similar in place? Why did no finance team ever sit down in a room, brainstorm all the vulnerabilities their code had to revenue streams, and come up with safeguards against it?

Obviously you can't build in 'alien attack destroying our stadiums' but you'd think fire, war, terrorism, pandemic, natural disaster would all be things you should be safeguarding against in some respect.

Most business interruption insurance contracts only cover known viruses / diseases. They are 'designated' in the contract. So malaria, ebola etc are covered. They do not cover new viruses or diseases.

So Wimbledon were the only ones with access to pandemic cover?

They must have paid extra for a bespoke inclusion to their policy. Reading that tweet again it appears as they though they paid 2 million per year for that inclusion.
