Ok ok..

These Ones are as good as done...
Chauncey Billups to Detroit $35 million 6 year deal.
Bruce Bowen San Antonio $11 million 3 years.
Malik Rose $42 Million 6 years

Rumours....
Charles Oakley to Orlando/Philly $1 Million 1 Year (Vet Minimum)
Danny Manning to Chicago $1 Million 1 Year (Vet Minimum)
Jerome James to New York $? ? Year Deal
Scott Williams to New York/Chicago/Orlando (Around 2-3 Mil a Year)

I cant believe Malik Rose got that contract :o

More to come...hopefully :)

I read something about the Lakers trying to get Charles Oakley. If it goes through, I think he maybe struggle on the West Coast. Might end up like Richmond, another veteran on a one year deal, then spends most of the season on the bench. It's worked the last few years, but the Kings, the Spurs or Mavs might stop it next season.

I cant believe Rose could command 42 million??? If that deal goes through he will be right up there with Allan Houston as the most overpaid player in the game.

If the Lakers picked up Rose for this much they would be calling it a steal.

Malik's per game rank among Spurs during playoffs:
3rd in Points
2nd in Rebounds
2nd in Offensive Rebounds
2nd in Steals
1st in FG%

Rose got good numbers in limited minutes.

Off the top of my head, our second most consistent player, getting a cheap deal which increases over time is a fine deal with me.

Devean George is believed to have resigned for the Lakers 21 million for 4 years.

Larry Hughes is set to sign a multi-year deal with the Wizards
:D (Whats with MJ? Signing all these SG'S he hopes to play PG..Remember Hughes got beaten out of the PG job for the Warriors!)

Jacque Vaughn will sign for the Magic..meaning Hudson is gone.

Chauncey Billups has officially signed with the Detroit Pistons, and;

Jacques Vaughn has signed with the Orlando Magic.

Devean George has re-signed with the Lakers.

Only deals confirmed so far.

hmmm... something like 3 yrs, for 4.5m ???

if so... thats a frickin bargain...
he's young, and does have talent...
and could do with some mentoring by MJ...

hmm.. he was coveted by the lakers...
so i guess the spurs had to up it a little...

tho, still a big contract for a decent player...
those game ranks u reeled off doesnt really reflect how good he is... more like how weak and thin the rest of the roster is..

I guess they are loaded at SG now

So much for trading Alexander....for Dixon :D

Admittedly, a 78 year old Terry Porter and 45 year old Steve Smith don't instill fear in me either, but you can oly judge a player by who he's up against, and the Lakers and Sonics are decent.

Fair deal in my opinion. Others may argue, but look a what guys like Juwan Howard and Calvin Booth are getting paid.

Chauncey Billups has officially signed with the Detroit Pistons.
PLUS for Pistons. Agressive PG, but Atkins, Jones and Barros....1 too many guards. Expect 1 to go.

Jacques Vaughn has signed with the Orlando Magic.
Steady PG for Orlando. Decent passer alongside T-Mac.
Armstong lengthens his career coming off the bench, with Troy Hudson perhaps heading off.

Matty, no matter who you support....average of 7 mil a year for a backup? c'mon that is horrible.

I thought they would save as much capspace as possible for next year to maybe sign a star free agent and help keep Duncan...but a 42 million deal to Malik....geez.

Yeah it is a bargain! Lets hope Jordan can have a positive effect on his game, he seems to do that to everyone so maybe Hughes will actually be alright next year. He's expected to play the point, as is Dixon so one of Lue and Whitney will be dealt for a SF.

A bargain??? I'm not so sure.

To get such a small deal only shows me that 28 other GM's don't think he's worth the effort.

Oh my God!!!!

He was handy at times, but... S***, he isn't worth that much.
Are you sure that's not 2.1 million for 4 years??

No its definately 21 million over 4 years, and George has a get out clause after the 3rd year.

Plus yous resigned that Yugoslavian Center..cant remember his name, in a deal that is something like 2.5 million over 2 years, well thats what I heard anyway.

F/C Scott Williams has agreed terms with the Pheonix Suns :(

Nooo, he was a perfect fit for the Bulls

Corey Blount, is in Chicago at the moment taking a physical.

Also believed Toronto want Donyell Marshall.

Jerome James signed a 5 mil a yr deal with the Sonics :p

Admittedly, I am giving my opinion from a huge Spurs fan persective, but 42 mil for 7 years isn't too bad.

He may come of the bench, but he will average roughly the same, if not more minutes than D-Rob

Pretty sure he will only be on about 5 or 6 mil during TD's contract year.

Also Emanuel Ginobili signed by the Spurs!
2 years for $2.9 mil

yeah.. george was sought after by a few teams...
he could do very well on a lesser team...
due for a breakout season this year perhaps... and become the starting SF..

medvedenko.. the euro sensation ~!~

hmm.. from espn..

The Seattle SuperSonics are close to completing a trade that would send forward Vin Baker to the Boston Celtics for guard Kenny Anderson and center Vitaly Potapenko, according to a report in Friday's editions of The Seattle Times..

argh!! why would the celtics, a team looking for a final piece.. go for a hack like baker ?!??!?! a weak PF with a contract about the same size as his a$$..

who's gonna take the one spot?? tony delk??

my fave player... kenny anderson to be a backup to g.payton?
or is that just paving way for a trade involving the glove?

I heard that a Tinsley and filler for Kenny Anderson was discussed.....why the hell would any GM with any brains (Excludes Scott Layden ofcourse) want Vin Baker?

Does this mean its goodnight to Rodney Rogers?
