The Official Music Draft: Appetite for Draftstruction!

Welcome Ladies and Gents to the first ever Music Draft: Appetite for Draftstruction!

There will be 14 participants drafting in 14 different categories with the aim to pick the best music collection possible.

I've randomised the categories and here's the results:

And now onto what the draft order will be. For this I went onto a draft simulation website and these posters were picked randomly.

To put it simply, Aenimence will pick first for Movie Soundtracks, then drop to 14th pick for Trios, then up 13th for Live Recorded Albums, etc. Each new category you move up a spot in the draft order.

When selecting your albums try to give us your reasons why. Write as much as you can be bothered as it makes for better discussion and maybe post some youtube videos.

And as I said in the other thread:
24 hour limit to make picks, after that it's up to the next person in the draft.
Any questions then tag me in your post, or private message me.
Any issues over the categories then raise them quickly.
Make sure to tag the next person that's drafting after you as it makes life easier.

Not sure how I feel about my number 1 pick.

On the one hand I'll get arguably the greatest album of all time, but on the other hand that category is stacked so a later pick would still be okay. Picking last in thrash metal is going to ruin me.

Imma go with Music from the Motion Picture Pulp Fiction with the first pick in the draft.

There were at least five other soundtracks better suited to my sensibilities that I weighed up here. And a few others. In the end, I found myself hard-pressed to pass up my first choice - Pulp Fiction, perhaps for sheer notability. But it's always stuck out to me to as something memorable, brilliant and cool. There's a nice balance of 50s surf rock and soul hits with some lesser known (by me at least) tunes scattered throughout. Sets me in a unique mood.

Possibly would've been my number 1 choice. So many cool tracks, a great mix of genres with a few absolute classics.

Great first up pick to kick off the draft. Love the film and love the music. And yeah since it's soundtracks and not original scores I didnt expect stuff like Star Wars to be chosen.

Love you're first pick, a great album. Tarantino usually has great soundtracks to his movies. The opening song is just pure awesomeness, too bad the Black Eyed Peas had to ruin it.

Multiple artists is fine but if the album is selected already then I can't be selected again. Otherwise 80's Thrash would be a very hard category to pick from
