Pretty much repeating what most of the posters have written, but for mine, the players that stood out today were:

Ricky Pettard - Best on ground for mine. Picked up a heap of stats off the half back line and through the midfield. Good in and under, and also provides that run as well.

Kirk Tippett - Presents well for a big fella considering his basketball background and only being in the game for 12 months or so.

David Armatage - Got alot of the footy through the middle and his disposal was pretty good for most of the day. Great effort considering his ear injury.

Patrick Fittock - Drifted out of the game in the second half, but a promising first half where he collected quite a few touches at both ends of the ground

Joe Anderson - Thought he was NT's best player. Got alot of the ball off Half Back and provided some run through the middle of the ground. Has played senior footy in Darwin, also winning their B&F. Kicking action looks a little awkward.

Nathan Djurrkerra (Sp?) - Excellent poise and balance with great awareness as well. Excellent build which should mean he gets a fair bit of game time next year. One of those players that just seems to have time to dispose of it.

Albert Proud - Can see why he is regarded as a top 10 pick. Interupted preperation with OP, but just oozes class of his left foot. Great awareness of whats around him.

Chris Smith - Quiet first quarter, but came to life after that. Had a massive second quarter and presented well for a bloke of his size. Reminds me a bit of Brad Fisher.

Other players that played well I thought were Dzufer, Urquhart, C.Rioli, Carma-Holt and Jesse Smith.

And that mark that Jethro Carma-Holt took was an absolute beauty.

Nicely said pretty much spot on.

Renouf didn't have a great game, but I thought he showed enough to suggest he would be a good pickup.

Kept a pretty close eye on him as I'm pretty keen for Carlton to take him with one of our second round picks, which includes our PP.

Conditions probably didn't suit him that much today, but still looked ok. Very awkward kicking style that needs some work.

If you're keen on taking a ruckman with an early second round pick, the other player who'd have to come into calculations is Kurt Tippett. He looked quite outstanding at times. He's 199cm and 98kg, and amazingly athletic and agile -- all this in a player who's only recently given up basketball for footy. The difficulty in gauging his performance is that he was outmarking an opponent who was probably six inches shorter than him, which is a bit reminiscent of Todd Grima last year against NT. In Tippett's favour is that he's a far more impressive athletic specimen than Grima.

On that kind of form you'd have to think Tippett will feature on draft day.

Do people here think Tippett and Pettard will be drafted, and if so which round?

IMO, Pettard will probably go around the 20 mark, which will hopefully mean he'll be in a Carlton jumper next year.

Hard to say about Tippett. Would be a long term selection as he has just taken up footy over the past 12 months. He could go anywhere, depending on what clubs need.

Sorry guys; this thing is acting up on me.

Yes, Petterd would be right up there in the mix for about pick 17-20.

Hopefully he does not go earlier.

Qld were harder at the ball than the NT. The NT back 6 played well. no. 11 for the NT was very hard at it and very good in and under. He took some telling marks in the last line of defence. He also played on the ball and won a few centre breaks.
