I don't think you should look at a football club moving cities as comparable to a company doing the same thing. If you have been watching Welcome to Wrexham it's all about the relationship of the community to the club. But all clubs over there are like that. The football club is part of the identity of the town.

I find it strange to think that South Melbourne supporters would just shrug and say "Oh well, I guess our team plays in Sydney now".
You can find it strange but that's exactly what happened.

According to police the Arsenal parade numbers exceeded 1m people, some estimates even have it up to 1.5m. Phenomenal stuff. The images of North London were amazing. A generational moment for many fans who hadn't as yet experienced a league Title win.

Perhaps he needs to get out of Europe completely. It seems moving to London was the worst possible thing for him. Perhaps moving to somewhere like MLS, A-League, J-League might just reinvigorate him. Would be a shame for his career to finish like this.

From my understanding he's well settled in London with his family and kids for their schooling, academy football etc. He's had an amazing career and a shame to see what has happened in recent years. Fantastic footballer in his prime and as with many successful players of colour before him, had to endure a lot of disgusting shit from sections of the media during his time.

Chicago Cubs World Series parade was 5 million people. Now that is a number. :p

Over a 100 years since they last won it from memory? Yep that was a massive event. 22 years since league Titles for Arsenal felt like a long time but thankfully not that long haha.

108.

Wasn't the winning one, was the one against Kaka. Finished at the 6 yard line. Could've just about chipped him.

The winning one was actually a rare one that he was closer to the goal line.

I think the law at time was even stricter than it is now. The goalie had to keep both feet on the line until the ball was kicked. The officials just missed it.

These days Dudek wouldn't be able to wave his arms around to distract the kicker. It's a shame really. Grobbelaar's wobbly legs and Redmayne's Wiggle dance were entertaining.

Well the Arsenal fans are always acting like complete flogs, so they must be seeking validation from someone.
Nope, Arsenal fans could not care less what oppositon fans think.

We're league Champions and were two kicks away from doing a historic double.

Arsenal fans are in a great place.

They are enjoying themselves pretty well without validation.

Watched the first two eps of Ronaldinho doco on Netflix. They just covered the '05 Barca v RM game where he scored two in a 3-0 away win and Madrid fans gave him an ovation. The starting XI of both sides...my goodness.

Max Dowman and Rio Ngumoha, who have represented England at under-19 level, complete the list of nominees thanks to their performances for Arsenal and Liverpool respectively.

"Do they play for a big 4 club? Then they're nominated."

Dowman played 153 mins in the PL season. Ngumoha played 551. Rayan only played since January but played over 1000 mins and scored 5 goals. Jaydee Canvot was very good also.

West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan has stepped down from his position as joint chairman and director of the club with immediate effect "having been made aware of the impending publication of serious historic allegations".
