They'll pretend otherwise. Just like Moomba pretends that City don't breach FFP or SM pretends that he doesn't have arguments.

I reckon if Arsenal collapsed from say MD20, it would feel like what was expected to happen for their supporters. But at MD29? A different story, I think their supporters would be completely devastated, with or without the oddsmakers predictions in the preseason.

Waiting for Arsenal to bottle it.

Ha ha, imagine if we never tried to buy Kane. The O, I and L keys on your keyboard would be in much better condition.
Your P, M, S and L keys replaced via gofundme campaigns?

No of course not, but they always flick the switch on the run home, and a 4-1 win against Liverpool is pretty ominous.
Yeah, they always perform well in the run home, undisputed.

We aren't doing too badly ourselves though, think that's 6 wins in a row in the league now (possibly 7), and we still have an 8 point lead (game in hand for them though).

Either way, whoever wins it is gonna be forced to be at their best until the end.

Remember the discussion on here a few weeks ago that Arsenal supporters wouldn’t be upset if they don’t win the title, because they weren’t supposed to be in this position? 😂

I am going to say that 100% of Arsenal supporters would be devastated if they don’t win the title from this position.
Yes. But would still be incredibly proud of the team.

A good indication of how many mind numbingly stupid comments a few on here consistently make.

Southampton, Leeds, Leicester, west ham and Everton all fighting off relegation too - no easy task even for city.

Ref should be dropped for not booking the lot of them.

These sort of things affect the result of games, issuing charges a week after noone gives a shit about.

A german female referee gave a Red Card to Turkish player, Karim Demirbay. On his way out he looked at her and told her "you should stick to the kitchen".

The referee wrote that in her report and FIFA ruled that he will be suspended for 5 matches and as part of his suspension, he will officiate one women football match.

While refereeing the match he issued 8 red cards to 8 different female players.

When asked why did he did that, he replied: because women should stick to the kitchen!

That last line is quite subjective. In terms of impact on a team, there’d be a handful in that discussion. VVD for sure. Sol Campbell. Jaap Stam for example. He was at United for 3 seasons. They won 3 PL titles in his tenure.

They'd have made a great partnership.

Head to head stats are pretty useless too, they also played in different eras where tactics and forwards were different.

I don't entirely disagree with the statement about Van Dijk's impact.

I don't necessarily disagree with this either but how do you measure that impact? Personally I think the three best individual seasons I've seen from a CB in the EPL were from Vidic, VVD, & Kompany but you'd be splitting hairs to say one had a bigger impact than any of the others.

From an overall body of work perspective though I think Ferdinand & Terry were the best we've seen.

You know I love my combined XIs, but whenever doing a PL one, the CB pairing is the hardest to do for me.

There have been so many elite CBs - Rio, Terry, Vidic, VVD, Kompany, Sol, Stam, Adams, Pallister, Bruce, Carvalho - and I am sure I have left out a few too.

I am inclined to agree with Rio and Terry, but, say, you gave me Sol and Stam, or VVD and Kompany I wouldn't be complaining.
