Ex-Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux has deplored Jose Mourinho's behaviour towards former club doctor Eva Carneiro as putting football in England "back 30 years".

How many years did his treatment of Jon Fearn set back English football?

It is truly staggering how people can just ignore his role in this situation to push this sexism narrative.

As far as I know he wasnt banned from the training ground, and didnt have articles, rumour and innuendo about his sex life printed by Jose friendly journos.

It may be that she copped it more because as a woman she was a bigger story (I wonder if the Chelsea crowd chanted Fearns name during games as well). But it's all been very grotty.

All the stories I've read that mention JF in any way (not many do these days) suggest their punishments were the same so I'm not too sure about that, perhaps chef would be ale to clear that up though.

At the end of the day Mourinho has made a meal of this but that doesn't give the press the right to level accusations like that at him IMO.

Jose deserves what he gets for his treatment of either employee imo. Not the right way to treat a colleague and could easily have been dealt with outside of the public glare.

From my understanding they were both removed from pitch and given different responsibilities at the club, Eva chose to take leave(and didn't return on the set date) while Jon chose to continue working. They would have both returned to pitch side eventually. I'm sure Eva and the club will come to an agreement which I doubt will be made public.

Shit effort from Mou though.

The Price of Football has released their 2015 findings:
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34531731

Prices have either frozen or dropped.

Covers everything from Season Tickets, to Matchday Tickets, to Away Tickets (20 is plenty), to even the price of pie and tea, and also your home shirt.

If you want to know more about how your club fares in regards to the Premier League, other English clubs, or even those on the continent, here's the data table:

Well... if we're talking like for like:

St Kilda:
Lowest - $108
Highest - $679

Bayern:
(Note: Converted using the current rate of 1 Euro = 1.56 Australian Dollars)
Lowest - $162.80
Highest - $872.11

That said, which of these two would you think would be in higher demand? At least you know you're getting absolute quality with the Bayern membership. (Don't worry, you'll be good again one of these days.)

19 home games v 11.

Price p/game would make it cheaper for Bayern

17 for Bayern, there's only 18 clubs.

Also, don't some of those St Kilda memberships allow you to view all Victorian games? Increasing the number.

Then again, it's likely Bayern has some cup games included in that.

But St Kilda allows you access to all VFL games at Trevor Barker Oval.

Actually, if we pretend for a moment that St Kilda are on the same level as Bayern, and you can access all Victorian games, there is one very strong thing that makes the Bayern ticket the more valuable one (and now we're including PL clubs into this): All German sesason tickets includes free public transport 3 hours before the game, and 3 hours after the game... for all home and away games. So no need to stress how to get to the game, and how much extra it will cost, just use your ticket, and you'll be good to go.

Nobody looks after fans quite like ze Germans
It's because they can be arsed to do something about it. Munich fans are skipping the first five minutes of an upcoming match (didnt see full report) because of the cost of tickets. Fans in england should do the same and more, but most just can't be bothered.

It's a dangerous game to do that with. How annoyed would you be if you missed the only goal of the game because you were outside protesting? Could work with something like AFL because there'll be plenty more that happens throughout the game.

I think the A-League does this too?

If you do nothing, nothing changes.

Fans in Germany generally stand up for themselves and don't allow greedy clubs to bend them over.

Fan ownership of clubs helps greatly of course. Bayern have busted their assess over the last 15-20 years to get where they are now. It hasn't happened overnight and all while the club has kept ticket prices affordable & not incurring massive unsustainable short term losses.

Would be excellent if the FA mandated a similar system in the PL but don't hold your breath.

Not suggesting doing nothing but perhaps there is something better that can be done.

Silent protests for instance. Go to the game and stay quiet as a crowd for 20 mins.
