You're more likely to see moomba wearing a Rooney united jersey than admit he "got it wrong" :)
Have no problem saying I'm wrong, have done so many times.

Don't get peoples desperation to say I told you so though.

why do we give this man a paycheck

Nah, they aint going to try and buy him in the form he's in ATM. There'll be a better flavour of the month for Madrid than Hazard(especially for the mountain of ££££'s he'd cost).

And according to Eden himself he's not that ambitious anyway and is quite content with his lot already.
From my sources, im pretty sure Real have cooled their interest in Hazard and have actually moved their attention on to Vardy.

So, Cech has been a ******* brilliant singing thus far, barring the one bad game he's had.

Yep, you should be thanking Roman for dropping that one in your lap. Thankfully Begovics been just as good so it hasn't had the chance to affect us.

If you are that desperate to say I told you so.

Make sure you don't skip over the ones where I made it clear I was referring to the UK law, and that the football league could take action once the written reason for the conviction were released.

You argued that a conviction in another country automatically disqualified a person from owning or being a director of a UK company. You even quoted the relevant act and told me your mum concurred.

You were both wrong.

Rightio. :$

As soon as he was found guilty in Italy - as he has been - he has been disqualified. Which was my point all along. But you bury that head in that sand.

Maybe because you're so quick to lord about how much you know about everything to put people in their place, people like to point out you aren't as infallible as you claim. Of course when you tell people they're wrong that's fine, but when they do it's sad and pathetic.

Oh FFS.

He wasn't disqualified as soon as he was found guilty in Italy. The takeover was approved, and he was installed as director after being found guilty. The league waited until the written reasons for the conviction were released before they could ban him under fit an proper persons.

You argued that UK law prevented him from being a director in a UK company if he had committed a fraud offence. This clearly hasn't happened

He can't be a director.

He can be a majority shareholder though. Two different things.

Check out the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 if you're really interested.

This is one of my posts on the issue, check the highlighted bit.

The Act doesnt support what you said. A UK court would have to issue a disqualification order. To do that there would need to be a UK trial. The issuing of a disqualification order is also at the discretion of the courts. The Act you quoted actually specifies that. So if he did get committed of a UK offence the court would still not have to issue the disqualification order.

The football league statement you posted refers to their fit and proper persons test. That has nothing to do with courts, or Acts. That is just a football league thing, not a law.

If Cellino does turn out to have committed a dishonesty offence (when the reasons come out in June) the football league can ban him from being a director, but he will legally be able to be a director of any UK company.

So I really don't know hat you are on about. I simply said throughout that whole debate that the courts would have to issue a banning order for him to be disqualified from owning or being a director of a UK company. It doesn't happen automatically. However the football league could ban him from being a director under their fit and proper persons rules once the reasons for his conviction were released.

Couldn't give a toss about two year old arguments, yet you've felt the need twice now to bring it back up to "prove me wrong". Not the first time you've brought up years old arguments to try and get one over me. It's boring.

Get over yourself.

Ironic. Suck it up princess.

Never mind, sorry guys.

Being reported that a linesman was put under pressure by the designated referee and also the referees boss to favour Real Madrid over Barcelona in the next El Classico. He refused and has gone to the police instead.

Could be something, could be nothing.

radio's in spain saying johan cruyff has lung cancer

Not good, 5 year survival for lung cancer is less than 10%. Unfortunately this sort of thing is inevitable for those who lead his sort of lifestyle. Quite simply one of the greatest footballers and footballing minds the game has ever known.
