I make zero apologies for being this particular form of campaigner.

Hey I have done it myself to lol - I can certainly understand where the shop is coming from as they could not even buy it for anywhere near what we could as they had to go through the wholesaler and not allowed to buy them online like we could.

Your business model's cooked if you can't find a way to compete as a bricks'n'mortar store under such circumstances.

No less than Gerry Harvey finds himself in the same pickle vis-a-vis online competitors like Kogan.

It was all well and good to seek and destroy smaller competitors with your cutting edge stack'em high/sell'em low model back in the day. Now he's being superseded by a superior model it's BAWWWW-

A lot of the time the store can get it cheaper though.They just like a huge profit and scream blue murder when someone finds out their...........treachery????

Apparently the annual report states that revenue from merchandise was up $800,000 last year. Imagine the potential of a proper run store.

I knew a few that worked in the bike stores and they would show me what their cost price was and it was ridiculous

alot of electronics are a little different though. when i worked at dick smith the profit margins were very very thin. the actual profit is made by selling the brand name tvs with backend margin or by selling accessories (now those have excessive mark ups).

printers are high gross profit, same with routers. phones, tablets and laptops are all extremely thin margins and the business model relies on staff to sell accessories to turn profit on these sales. most of the time the buying team is so ******ed that they massively overstock a model of laptop and end up having to clear it well below cost.

dick smith elizabeth (second biggest store in sa) turns about 20k profit a month. may last year it posted a 200 dollar loss for the month.

marion, the biggest store in sa turns about 40k a month, basically every store is in a holding pattern until christmas or back to school etc.

Anyway my main reason for posting was that I am looking in to getting a new port hat.
Disappointed this is the only monogram one.

While I like it, I'd rather have a few options:
Black letters and Black cap
Black letters Teal cap
Teal letters Black cap

Compared to the point our merch got to beginning with the precocious PAFC Reebok hoodie through to the past couple of years with ISC, the bulk of this season's offerings resemble a Bangladeshi thrift store.

The first ISC hoodie - I still take good care of mine because I know a good PAFC hoodie like it wont come again for some time. Every version since has been complete rubbish. Last years was a cheap, thin girly hoodie with a feminine "PAFC" written on it.
