I just wondered what picks we had in the Pre-Season Draft. Besides ex-brissie ruckman Dylan McLaren, who else would be worth while picking up. Also, I would like to see a you guys put down reviews on the players available in the psd and rookie drafts. I'll try as well, later on.

Just for the record I thought I'd post my PSD predictions here.

1) Carlton - Dylan McLaren
2) Collingwood - Alan Toovey
3) Hawthorn - Brent Guerra
4) Essendon - Scott Camporeale
5) Richmond - Pass
6) Brisbane - David Haynes
7) Kangaroos - Cameron Thurley
8) Port Adelaide - Steven Armstrong
9) Adelaide - Todd Grima
10) Essendon - Chris Heffernan

Blues get D.McLaren in PSD, and
R.Jackson and C.Flint in Rookie Draft

Happy with this. Really would have liked the Blues to get someone like Markovic but am happy with the 3 we got.

Very impressed with who the Hawks got - McEntee, Markovic and Gilham should help with their big-man woes. Gilham still has plenty to prove and McEntee and Markovic could be steals in this draft.

In Jackson we get class and skill. may not be the quickest player in the draft pool BUT is not as slow as some on here say. Flint I know very little about but from all reports he sounds like a back-flanker type who can and has played plenty of footy at FB. I think he is around 189cm and I guess could grow a little more.

Therefore we get another ruckman who is ok at this stage, only 23 y.o, and has plenty of scope to improve. Jackson a classy midfielder with height and Flint a close-checking backman who (I hope) attacks a bit back there!

Pretty disappointed with the rookie selections.

Wasn't impressed watching either of them to be honest and there where better players available IMO. Glad to be proven wrong though.

I was disappointed too Oz.....but the two promising Matt's, White and Thomas went in the PSD....and my blood's boiling that Sydney took Simpkin at #16....I think we would have come off a lot better with a White/Simpkin, Thomas/Simpkin...ore even a Jackson/Simpkin selection.

Having missed out on Simpkin, like Mojo, i would have also preferred a quicker type mid like a Nicholls or Bentley at #17

Honestly I was expecting more than Jackson and Flint out the rookie draft.

Richmond's sudden appearance in the PSD when they stated they didn't have the cap space reeks to high heaven! Not to mention their training of unlisted rookies which is against the rules.

The AFL is suppose to decide whether clubs are eligible for the draft and it appears this was just a con to get more money out of their supporters.

First time JD was right about anything.

Agree 100% and said so in another thread. Richmond this year and last year with the PSD.

If it was Carlton that had done this the media would be all over us.

Maybe we are starting to sound like Richmond fans?

Casey sure left in a hurry didn't he?

Those real estate/player deals. :thumbsd:

Miller and Fevola. Contracted but going to his house to talk to him and not going through Carlton.
