I struck a deal with my girlfriend of two and a half years about 3 months ago that I would propose to her when Geelong won the Grand Final. It seems the plan is working perfectly and I have jinxed Geelong to ultimate success.

Of course not wanting to look like a bastard I will have to produce some bling even if they do lose, but let's hope we dont have to get to that stage

He is 21, very early to get married . I'm waiting till I'm at least 25 and have lived and experienced a lot on my own before I think about that kind of stuff. Every man, grand father, family friend has told me I should wait when I meet the girl I want to spend a lot of my life with.

I too just recently got engaged to my GF of 8 years. My advice, do it sooner rather than later. That ring does phunny things to a girl!!!

I never said there was anything wrong with it. Read before you type... I just provided an opinion.

Who are you to pass judgement and suggest he is ready to be married and starting a family whilst young is the best thing to do? Surely he is best to determine this, however getting married on the basis of a winning football team is surely not the right formula.
