Either Twin Peaks and refences to it have come up a hell of a lot more in the last few weeks or I'm just noticing them now since I watched it.

Watch Fire Walk With Me too if you haven't yet. Its not mind-blowing, but its more Twin Peaks.

I did. It was a bit... weird. Not in that weird and wacky way (it's ****ing Twin Peaks) but it was weird to watch after the series.

I dunno, I'll watch anything Lynch puts out, even though half his movies are a major flop. Mulholland Drive is probably my favorite movie ever and Blue Velvet not far behind.

I would watch the deleted scenes separately on the Blu-ray set rather than the fan edit.

My mate showed me the trailer for Wayward Pines the other day.



Fox + M. Night Shyamalan. What could go wrong? Looks like half the scenes are basically lifted straight out of Twin Peaks and True Detective.

Bowie's character was an FBI agent who disappeared through a Black Lodge portal in a Buenos Aires hotel some years earlier. When you see him emerge from the lift he's actually re emerging from the Black Lodge via another portal at the FBI's Philadelphia offices.

Oh, and Desmond disappears when he reaches under the Chalfont's trailer at the trailer park to grab the ring. Mrs Chalfont and her grandson (played by Lynch's son in the TV series but some other kid in FWWM) are from the Black Lodge. It seems there's a portal in the trailer park too, noted when Harry Dean Stanton's character says "I've already been places. I just want to stay where I am".
