Ok, actually have used it in some other threads not of this board for some serial media spammers who fill threads up with stuff that crashes my phone, but once back on PC they're unblocked.

No, I assume it'd just annoy me because you'd still see the ignored people in quotes anyway, like in ye olde Usenet killfile.

You don't see their posts quoted but I often click the 'see ignored content' button to give some strange looking posts context.
