To many The C bands

The Cure
The Clash
The Cult

I always have to stop and think which is which.

They are nothing alike musically which should be a fantastic start in your search for the truth.

Pining for French rev days when we could freely chop off the heads of filthy rich aristocrat pigs like Eddie Dingle

Your spec mod head would literally spin and fall off if you knew my background.

I am Cinderella. Just add heaps of drugs and less Prince. Although I did listen to Prince a lot so.....

what the ****

http://www.theguardian.com/music/20...corre-burn-punk-memorabilia-punk-london-queen

The son of the late Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren is planning to burn his collection of punk memorabilia, estimated to be worth around £5m.

Joe Corré, who set up lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, says the ceremonial burning is a protest at the way punk’s legacy has been co-opted by the mainstream. The incineration will take place in Camden, London, on 26 November, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Sex Pistols single Anarchy in the UK.

You weren't formerly one of those filthy, grubby poor people, were you? You fraud. Don't expect to be invited back to any of my mansion orgies.

lol what a protest. Makes sure his brand gets out there, makes sure to coincide with a 40th anniversary of a product.

If he was punk he'd just burn the shit on a whim.

Well, he is the son of Malcolm McLaren, whose version of punk was ALL about the sellout.

Ps, The Warumpi's for me.

The Cult, there's a band that was known as an AC/DC clone for a while. Great band. It was no coincidence their sound changed either, Rick Rubin became the producer and he was so enthralled by Back in Black he tried to make the next one and began to talk The Cult in a different direction. They made some awesome music.

Eventually Rubin actually got his wish and produced AC/DC, on the single Big Gun, and album Ballbreaker. By all accounts it was a bit of a fizzer and he phoned it in, having just helped the Chilli Peppers make it big that became his priority. Malcolm and Angus pay him out on the album commentary from the Live at Donnington DVD.

As a side note, the cover art was done by Marvel comics.

Really? Unless there's stuff I haven't heard, they're so far removed it's not funny.

Is the Cult dude still impersonating Jim Morrison or has he come to his senses

I don't necessarily agree with it but it was the opinion in the late 80s for music critics and reviews from the time I've read.

Around the Fire Woman, Lil Devil and that sort of stuff era. Not the earlier stuff.

I think any rock band that didn't cave to spandex, poodle mullets, and synthesizers was just branded as an AC/DC clone back then.

Pretty awful really, Morrison had better pipes than he gets credit for... what's with the haircut n' leathers he was tryin' to hard man

His looks are one thing but who could've sung it better?

So an Adelaide based IT start-up called XPED* just signed a collaborative deal with Telink, a multinational microchip and semiconductor manufacturer to implement their technology into their chips. This could lead to deals with Intel and GE who are Telinks chief clients. Great news for them, and a good example of the so called "ideas boom". Same with the company named IOT Group who have signed a manufacturing deal for believe it or not - a selfie drone that uses facial recognition to track people and record/photo them.

Investing in technology can genuinely work in Australia.

Edit: oh yeah. Plus xped landed an ex-qualcomm CEO as their CE.

*I may or may not be a shareholder.

lol at the news right now, story about a group of homeowners on a block banding together and selling all their houses together as one block and making massive dosh, more than selling individually.

Wonder what generation they're from?

Usually this doesn't even work because you only attract developers who are generally extremely stingy.
