The Round 1 Positives Thread

The lack of Nathan Brown love is concerning. The only one who could defend properly the whole game.
I had him in top five. Totally agree.
I must watch a different game.

Seriously? Tried hard.
Although to be fair delivery was almost non existent.

Did the Ball ever go Forward more then 1 every 5 Minutes.

He went Down back in 4th Qtr and did a Good Job

Has anyone mentioned Swans misses for goal?
That was a positive.

Yeah Stopped us losing by upwards of 150pts

That is what I said, limited opportunity, so nothing special just like 16 others.

Try about 21 Others. Treloar was the only one who did anything. Everyone else Lost or Destroyed

No way, Blair,Brown, Adams, Greenwood, Williams got much better, even Sinclair tried all night.

They Tried but the Did not make a Impact like Treloar Did.

Adam and Greenwood tried but was beaten at Stoppages and Center Bounce to Easily

Brown and Blair both won their match ups, but I forgot you don't have a love in for either of those blokes so you probably have Grundy above them both on Saturday even though he didn't bloody play.

Not sure if it's been mentioned:

We can and have turned this around:

Round 1, 2014 - Smashed by Fremantle at Etihad, people were calling for Buck's head. Round 2 (2 weeks later) a fantastic 20 point win over Sydney at ANZ.

Round 21, 2015 - Belted by 91 points against Richmond, six days later we beat Geelong by 48 points.

The boys are capable of bouncing back, let's just hope they do.

Fair point, I guess I overlooked him because he sat out the last quarter and I don't remember much of him from the third.

Different though with the Big Off-Field issue hanging over the Club.

Hopefully they can sort things this week so they can get back to playing like we know they can

Although their disposal wasn't great, and thus it was at least in part self-inflicted, the back line worked harder than any back six ever should have to and never stopped trying.

To be honest I'm totally pissed off with our entire midfield at the moment - pretty much every time the ball entered their forward half their mids would push up to keep the pressure on while ours hung back standing still and hoping for the ball to come out somehow and then, just to rub salt into the wound, let the Sydney mids saunter past them when we inevitably did turn it over.

The sheer number of times I saw our boys at half back or half forward out numbered 4-2, 5-3 or even on a few occasions 7-4 with Sydney players still pushing in and then seeing them running past Collingwood mids who were just jogging along on their own through the middle (often with one or two team mates nearby and not a single Sydney player within 30m) was staggering.

If you're not A) pushing back to help, B) pushing forward when we get the ball, C) shadowing the opposition when they get the ball and D) aren't working off the ball to get in a bit of space and present as an option to give our back line something to kick it to then exactly what the **** are you doing out there fellas?

There was nothing Sydney was doing that couldn't have had its impact lessened by working and running hard - they were gambling a *lot* on Saturday night with their extreme defensive press and we just let them get away with it with barely a whimper from our boys.

Yeah you might get a bit of a bounce back, but both years wereI ultimately failures with structural issues and a game style that was exposed too easily.
