I would have to say no to any attempt to lure any Port Power players.

Some are good SANFL player who have yet to prove anything at the next level but we should be sceptical about giving away any draft pick for them.

Would look at Adam Thompson in the PSD but other than that - PASS.

Don’t know . Our last few second rounder have been Nathan van Berlo (04), Bernie Vince (05), Kurt Tippett (06), and Andy Otten (07) – so why give Port a second round pick for something they don’t want. And if they do want him, they have a funny way of showing it.

I think a third-rounder for Thomson is a pretty fair trade. I still keep holding out hope that we'll manage to do a Jericho + late draft pick for Thomson trade. Two commodities not wanted by their clubs that could plug a hole both clubs need plugging. And wouldn't the irony be delicious if both went on to have successful careers at their new clubs?

2003 and 2004 draft was under the Ayres regime and we all know how he stuffed up who we drafted during that period. And have you written Jackie off already? Give him a little bit more time, he only been in the system 10 months.

Over the last 2 or 3 year, the second round pick has been good to us.

This is my whole point as well, Campbell has just been dropped with everyone saying good solid in and under player with no major weapon for AFL. So what exactly is Thomson's weapon? And who would he replace in our current 22?

From what I have sen of him playing in the SANFL and the AFL he is a better player than Campbell. Remember Goodwin, Edwards and Mcleod haven't got long to go. I dunno at the end of the day it prob wont hapen anyway.

Nothing wrong with Jacky - IMO he will develop into a good midfielder/forward

Kreuger had back injury concerns (and i think that Gibson did too)

Jacky may come good, I agree. And Otten may also turn in to nothing more than a solid player, after all he's only been in the system less than a year. (same argument used to not write off Jacky).

Thomson may also turn in to a 150 game midfielder if we drafted him. All hypothetical I suppose.

As for Kreuger and Gibson, if they had significant back problems, why did we take them with second rounders ?
