Would you consider that an upgrade on Currie who seems ahead of Joel at North? I haven't watched North that much is Joel better?

Different players. Currie is a genuine ruckman, Tippett is a KPD who used to do a bit of relief ruckwork and could probably do it again if the need arose.

He was a forward/ruck in his Brisbane/Gold Coast days. They basically tried to make him his big brother. Didn't work, obviously. Doubt he's rucked much, if at all, since he went into defence, but that doesn't mean he's incapable.
He's 2 or 3 inches shorter than Kurt, he only ever played full back at SANFL level

With Walsh going home , LRT maybe retiring at years end and AJ knee being unknown a mature age KD would be on the cards before a ruck maybe ?.
Pyke is 31 at years end and you don't want to be getting soft tissue injuries at his age so maybe another ruck who knows.
Walsh is going home? Wasn't he just taken off the injury list?

I don't know if he is staying or going but I think it originated from someone posting they think he will then someone agreed, a couple pressed 'like', so it has slowly become fact as is the bigfooty way.
I could have missed something and I might be wrong on that.

To be fair, it started with these:

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-01-16/walsh-considers-going-home

Then you add these:

I don't think it's a huge leap.

But now there's this:

Another Swans success story in the making. He is a battler, but anyone would be if you had his run;

"My three years at Richmond were injury plagued," he explains.

"First year I missed the whole season with a broken ankle, that put me on the back foot coming into my second year.

"I played two games that year and then the following pre-season I broke my wrist twice and missed the first five games or so, and that just put me in the scrap heap.

They say footy is above the shoulders, and looks like the Swans culture has helped D-Rex get it right.

"When Pyke went off injured against Brisbane, the runner came out and said, 'I've got bad news'.
"I was like, 'That's bad news for Pykey, but good news for me'."

Actually a pretty funny interview / article.
