How could you not know?

Blood Red River is the next album you buy MR.

Kim Salmon is one of my all time favourites and is up there with Roland S Howard and Ed Kuepper as the greatest Aussie rock talents ever.

They had two phases: the early Flamin' Groovies/New York Dolls era which yielded such classics as Frantic Romantic and the darker/swampier Stooges era which yielded such classics as Solid Gold Hell. I love both incarnations of the band but probably lean to the heavier side of the band.

Great great great band.

Solid Gold Hell and Lead Foot my faves.

Apparently might be getting back soon.

This off Kim Salmons FB wall
"BTW, the old band IS coming back later in the year and and most definitely not tainting their reputation with new songs!"

Good stuff!

p.s Cosmic Psychos worthy of a listen to..

This track (my personal Salmon favourite) is better than anything to come out of Australia in the past 25 years. Fact.

Kim Salmon still thinks he coined the term "Grundge" and being a patriotic West Australian I'll back him. Such a great band, they did whole of Blood Red River from start to finish at PIAF a few years ago.

The Scientists and the Cosmic Psychos have good claims on being major influences on the whole Seatle grunge scene via Mudhoney.

Here's a tribute the U.S. band did.
