Wouldn't mind seeing Dyson get a run for some extra speed against a very quick West coast outfit.

See that article on him in the paper last week ? (forget which day sorry).

I'd play Mercuri forward. That's where he belongs. Tell him it's his last chance to perform. Then to Bendigo if he can't get a kick.

If you're telling me you would play Winderlich of Misiti. Well evryone is entitled to their own opinion, but Winderlich is too small, he doesn;t work hard enough, has no confidence at the moment. Essentially, needs game time in the 2s and lots of it. And another pre-season might not go astray.

Mercuri is just hopeless, how many times did he go sideways, how many forward thrusts did he stuff up. Needs to play well next week or he can pss off to the magoos for good. What a waste of talent he has become.

Winderlich is essentially not getting a game over Misiti. It is because of team balance and structure. Winderlich's problem is that he is being dragged every 10 minutes. He needs to be put in the forward pocket and left there for at least a quarter and a half. Then slowly work him into the midfield as the year progresses.

Essendon cannot afford to have Misiti, Peverill and Watson in the midfield together. They are all slow. Simple logic tells us that Misiti, and maybe Peverill are not going to take us to the top again - so one plays for Bendigo. If Watson doesn't come up this week then I'd have Joey in the side. He is still good enough to make a good contribution off ther bench, but the days of him being in out Top 4 midfielders are over. He lacks speed, presence and penetration.

I understand where winderlich is playing, but simply - he is not ready - I think it is time a different kid is given a crack as he hasn't taken his, even if he is coming off and on, his lack of presence can not go unnoticed.

Unfortunately for us, the best we looked all nightn is when Misiti gets the ball. He is essentially the only midfielder in our team who can kick to position - not 10m too long - or 10m wide of the target, actually out in front of the leading player. I realise with he, watson and peverill we look too slow, but that just means you don;t play them all in the centre at the same time. Anyway, if they get it, it doesn't matter how slow they are as we will ahve the ball.

If Lloyd is suspended then put Lucas at FF and Hille at CHF.

**** Henna off, he's garbage. Richards in to the forward line. Misiti on the bench and Mercs anywhere but defence! Lucas at CHF as I dont think WC have a tall key defender to take Lucas.

Look I think they'll kill us in the centre but I think if we can win our fair share of the ball like round 8 last year where we were severly undermanned against a red hot eagle side at the time then we r not without a very good chance. We have to try and expose their lack of KPP's around the ground.

1. Swap Dyson with Solomon, sure give dyson a game but solomon deserves the starting position over him,
2. Swap Rama and Bolton, rama may be unfit but he's getting there and still ****s over a fit bolton on the wing, bolton was ok in defence lets leave him there and see how he goes.
3. Is hunt really a chance of getting a game? i don't know anything about his recent form.
4. Can see your reasoning with walsh on the wing, but i'd give winderlich the run there first, at least he's been in the team and hopefully is getting used to playing in the seniors.

Original side now edited to take into account Watson's absence.

What is the general consensus on the side I posted first? I am hoping to use that one as the "majority rules" side - although somebody has to start it so I am going to do that each week.
