not as dumb as matt thomson who seems to like the sound of his own voice.
do we need a sports update from thomson every day on borerans show at 1.40 and then we get him again at 2.00 for another half hour,too much.
boreran has to fill this gap at 2.00 because he carn't sustain 4 hours of radio.
can anybody tell me whether the victory is a sponsor of sen as it is ruining a good station with too much so called football.we don't need to hear about victory all the time

Are you serious?.........SEN is a SPORT station......last I heard the game Victory plays comes under the heading of sport....Yes, AFL has finished, so now its soccers turn........it is also a popular sport in case you didn't know.....by the way, AFL is my sport of preference, but I dont begrudge others hearing about their chosen sport.......turn the radio off if it bothers you.......by my reckoning, we have 3 codes here in Vic.....AFL, Soccer + Rugby

at least you called it soccer,but there is just too much on sen it is so biased,the worst one being zapone.
i suppose it is better than rugby union ,the so called game made in heaven what a lot of crap.

being a melbourne station and the victory being the only team they would be covered a lot.

Well boys I am disapointed in you all. Mark, Harfs and Rita the eta eater(ed said it, so it must be true) were all at Crown yesterday for the Yawn/Yank fest that was Hoggy's book launch. Mark and co carried on about the attention Rita was getting but so far NOT ONE PHOTO posted on Big Footy!

Liked the first one, recognised it but didn't know the second song and didn't really like it. She's got a good voice which is lucky for hoggy or it could've been a disaster.

I heard them cover Mad World the tears for fears song and the first verse and chorus was off key and the harmonies were terrible, then they got their act together. Maybe they were nervous.

That must've been the second song. The first one was called crazy and it was around not too long ago, can't remember who sang it but they did a pretty good version. I could've done without the second song.

Casual Friday is probably my favorite show for the week too, but as a bit of a cricket tragic, I really enjoyed Hoggy's book launch. Especially some of the stories told.

Anyone catch the great one-liner by a caller the other night when Mark and Doran (i think) were discussing celebrity boxing bouts (prompted by the suggestion that Hall and Mason were going to duke it out) they would like to see. This is how one of the calls went..

Mark: Who would you like to see in the ring?
Caller: James Hird and Prince Charles, they could box the ears of each other!!

Caller: And Jennifer Hawkins..
Mark: With who??
Caller: Oh no one else, I'd just like to see her box!!!

The blokes in the studio lost the plot. One of the better one liners by a caller in a while!!!

I tuned in the radio this morning around 1 or 2 and heard about two minutes of the replay crap. They replayed that segment and Mark said "Did that end up going to air?" - even when they replay it they're too lazy to edit it - says alot But cracking joke.

My god Mark Snoran is annoying when he talks about soccer.

I only just switched him on during the lunch break in the cricket, but is he trying to blame the FFA for Dick Advocaat pulling out of coaching the Socceroos? Like they are supposed to have another guy in waiting even though they just signed a contract with this bloke?

And I'm surprised he doesn't call them the "World Footballroos" in the way he tries not to use the word "soccer" to stop the soccer fans calling in.

Btw, just heard that SEN have sold the 12-6am slot to Brett and Mark, like it was proposed a while back. Just incase Brett is reading, some more feedback for the show:

I would advertise that fact, as often as possible, because it would build a hell of a lot of credibility and trust with the listners knowing you put your own money up to get live sport back on.

This seems as though it is a brilliant business move by the Sen Mgt.

Think about it they take the overnight sports show off because they cant afford to keep it going financially and i gather that means pay the employees who run it .
It is off air and then a few weeks later it is back but this time the same employees are running it but they pay Sen and buy the time.

So an expense has become a revenue

So employees have become clients or debtors

This is the most brilliant business turnaround i have heard about , tell someone you cant keep them on because of funds and then they are so keen to keep going they end up paying you to stay on.

Brilliant move from the Sen accountants wouldnt mind them doing the books at my place if they can create revenue just like that

Interesting, I wonder if 3YawN went down this track with Keith McGowan's very successful overnight program. He does a lot of live reads from memory and is always pushing certain products as do Bruce and Phil .

So we should expect a lot of live Ad reads, probably 90% betting ads which will be disappointing even if understandable.
