Could Finey be any more of a man of the people?

I didn't hear his show last night but I hear he's sick of the Beckham love fest.

I've got respect for Beckham, but my god, people have gone a bit nuts over one bloke.

I heard it and to say I was disgusted would be stretching it, but his spiel was way over the top. Fair enough what he said about brand Beckham, but why he loaded up on the people of Sydney with a xenophobic tirade I have no idea. OK we're a bit too proud down here because people turn up to A-League matches, but I was disappointed he turned a discussion on Beckham into a diatribe about Sydney.

It was about the aforementioned Finey Sydney tirade. It was replayed on The Run Home last night. Wilson came on the show in what was planned to be a defence of Sydney, but she actually agreed with Finey.

For those who missed it, the tirade was aimed mainly at how Sydney are more interested in celebrity than real sport.

OWAAT is 7pm - 1am each week

except after MVFC games when it runs

Yes that was the one I heard .
I think it was a quiz caller that said he was from Launceston and Mark said where is that ....maybe he was making light humour but it was mentioned here on this forum by a few who heard it.
A few of you have mentioned how the station doesnt handle itself well in responding to people I can vouch for that , well my wife can vouch for that.
She teaches year 6 ,they were doing a project on the media and she sent an email to Sen to see if a few of the students and her could vist the station studios to have a look.
No response or reply at all and she even sent the emails to the station mgt and programming a second time.
The students ended up going to the ABC studios at Southbank after they gotback to her and a community or public radio station also responded saying it would be fine to organise a visit.
I love the station and listen all the time but I agree with my wife that is very poor on Sen's behalf to not even respond or say it was not possible for the students to visit , anything but to not even reply I think is a disgrace.
After listening to the soapbox thats my soap box.

I've sent them probably 10-15 emails regarding various things, no reponse. I think its disgraceful that they make their hosts basically handle any feedback. OWAAT have their own site and amail address, where they answer EVERY message.

Yet if a person was to send an email to SEN regarding OWAAT, you wouldnt get a response.

Perhaps its time management of SEN were publicly humiliated and prompted into response to feedback, by critising? them in columns of the daily papers...e.g......Your Say in liftout of wedsnesday herald/sun.....they wont like that I wouldn't think...

I have sent plenty of emails and never got one answer or a return email
funny thing is a few years ago i sent an email complaining about something eddie mguire said about essendon and it was a shock but eddie even emailed me back. i have the email and have not deleted it might .
but i have never even got an email from sen sometimes i wonder if they even read them.
maybe you should tell the newspapers thats pretty bad not helping your wives school out
