I felt guilty after Harvey was on TV tonight.

He was our coach for 4 full years.

I felt guilty. Because when I saw him relaying his account of the events of the day he lost his position I didn't feel guilty.

Sorry.

Nevertheless I wish him all the best.

He didn't look too unhappy to me.

I wish I was getting paid $500k to do nothing for a year.

he was showing a bit of decorum, it obviously wasn't the time or place to go into depth and go on a tirade.

Run this by me again? You feel guilty because you didn't feel guilty when you saw him relaying his version of events of the day he lost his job? At what point did you start feeling guilty? Is this some sort of contorted rhetoric or something? :p

It's Friday.
The day the I try to get in touch with my emotional self. :D

I agree with the OP, although it's only been a couple of weeks I've already moved on and no longer see Harv's as one of ours.

The disconnect happens very quickly.

As much as we all cry and gnash our teeth over things - The club isn't it's coach, isn't the board, isn't it's players - but simply the sum of all of them at any one point in time making something much greater and enduring. The club is.

We can get upset over someone being moved on, but f**k it, I'll still support the club now and in 50 years time when our colour is aquamarine and we're known as the Fremantle Mariners.

:thumbsu: Couldn't have put it better myself..

I support the club, not the coach, uniform or whatever. No guilt about that.
Harvey will be payed out. Moving on to next phase....

Still can't believe we pulled it off. I'm happy my membership dollars will help pay FFC the money they needed to secure the best coach in the land. Huge coup.:D

Definitely. And after reading the post below I'm more and more convinced that this is the best thing our club has ever done.

Read this in the Herald Sun today.

Ross Lyon met players over the past few weeks and passed on some wise words to young midfielder Anthony Morabito.
Morabito was scheduled to head to Bali.
Ross Lyon asked him who his fav midfielder is(he answered Judd) ,he then asked Morabito if he thought Judd would be going on an end of season trip to Bali with his mates on the back of a serious knee injury.
Morabito ended up giving the trip to Bali a miss.

For real? If true I like the sound of it on both fronts, Lyon's expectations and Mora's response (though what choice would he have :p)

Do you/anyone have a link to the original article? I can't seem to find it.

Harvey didn't seem to bothered - was obviously ****ed off at how everything unfolded, but who wouldn't be?

He still had his witty (?) sense of humour

Good luck with everything Harves - you have served us well and your derby record is the greatest of any Fremantle coach

We have upgraded our coach. It's as simple as that.

How many senior coaches were appointed after Harvey was sacked? Did Harvey even get considered? How fast did all the other coaches get signed, once Ross Lyon was no longer available?

I reckon the answer to those questions tells you all you need to know about the situation.
