I would just like to say that The Sims is the best and most addictive game ever. Every day I can't wait to go home and play it. Although now it will be even more interesting because my room mate was killed in a kitchen fire last night.

The only thing is once you buy the first or Deluxe Edition which is what I have then you have to really buy Hot Date and Vacation.

Just wanted to know if anyone else is as addicted as me.
 
i was hooked but i had to re-install windows one day and lost interest for a while, aint really played it since (only got The Sims original version)

Great game however!
 
Last night my first roomate died in a fire. Then about an hour later after I had taken a break my other Sim died in another fire. I just went from my last save point though so I still have 1 sim left.

Fantastic game, but you will become sick of it. All the sims actually do is live in a house and go to work and this becomes pretty boring after a couple of months.

We got this party going once, and Drew Carey came around, was pretty entertaining stuff ;)
 
I dont think that I will get sick of it coz I am going to get all of the expansion packs.

When my sims at work and stuff if I have any money I just renovate the house and change things around.

It's Fun.
 
Does anyone know how to propse in it. or do you have to wait until they propose to you?

Did you know that you can make lesbians? I tried to make mine kiss another girl and she went to and she pushed her hand in her face. It was funny.

My boyfriend is hooked on it too.
 
Propose only becomes an option after a LOT of sweet talking;) ie flirting kissing joking dancing, when u have been talking for ages etc and getting along well the propose option comes up

hehe i should know, i just got married:P apparently:D
 
I've got them upto kissing and stuff and it has a heart under his face where it shows the friends but it says that you have to wait to see whether they feel the same way.
 
My missus is really into it, has got a few of the add-on packs, Living Large, Hot Date and Unleased.
Sometimes I can't get her off the bloody computer.
 
Excellent game and the expansion packs are well worth getting. Have Vacation but still hooked on Hot Date!
I have a house and people modelled on 204 Bell St (Sandman serial from JJJ) and the family's house (i am wearing a cape and wizards hat:o )

Well worth the Game of the Year award!

Well i have proposed to 3 chicks today and 2 accepted, the third wanted food first. but i had to stop playing, will woo her tomorrow;)
Going well, almost got me up to the top rank in the business career in 2 days:D but i now have to get more people into the game to get the friend rate up to go any further.
 
IMO

It sounds abit like the Bigbrother/Home N away/Neighbours phenomenon! The addictiveness of what's going too happen next?!:rolleyes:

Mind you, I do not suffer from this condition :)
only when I'm playing games like Mafia and Icewind Dale II :p ;)
 
Yeah I love the game, the only expansion packs I don't have are Vacation (which I don't plan to get) and Unleashed which I should be getting for my birthday next week.

And silly ol' me didn't look down the list and posted a new thread on this wonderful game. Just proves what a great game it is, gets 2 whole threads.

Propose hasn't come up for me yet. Probably will soon though. I was saving up to buy an outdoor spa to go with my pool except I got bored of waiting with $4500 so I bought a new couch that big stereo and one fo those baths with the feet and made my pool bigger.

I also got a promotion to a white water rafting expert and now get $320 where before I was a bungee jumper and only got $250.
 
No silly if they don't eat then they are not happy because they are hungry.

The happier you are the better you do example my sim is happy so she got a promotion at work and earns more money. She can read books and gain more knowledge to be able to do mroe things and help with her work.

Like right now I need to study mechanical so I can be a rafter.
They will only study if they are happy.

They will only do lots of things if they are happy otherwise they complain.:)
 
started with one person, now got 9 living in the one house with various marriages and 1 birth and no friends left lol:( Plus i took the house apart and built a duplex like thing, so 2 houses with 4 or 5 people in each on the same block;)

Now im bored Getting a daily income of over $3000 woohoo.
 
You guys know the money cheat don't ya's? And the cheat that enables you to move objects that you wouldn't normally be able to move? If ya don't, I'll tell ya.
 
I don't know it but I'm trying to play without the cheats so don't tell me ok. That way I wont get bored of it.

Ok so last night I married mortimer and now he's totally wrecking everything. He doesn't clean up after himself or anything. Is there anyway that I can get him to leave??

Actually I think there may be a way I might start playing with my other sim and get him to marry her. That way I can have my house back without him. He only gets about $155 a day and I get $325 so it won't be too much money that I am missing. He always misses work anyway.

I had a baby yesterday and it got taken away from me thank god it was wrecking my life.
