It's funny how that Frawley's fate is now sealed......not because of the outpouring of unhappiness from the supporters or because our results are so dismal.. Frawley is a 'dead man walking' because the Media now smells blood.
From Rex Hunt on radio, to TV commentators, to the Age and Herald-Sun, the RFC in trouble keeps the media ticking over.
A mate of mine at work stirs me with the question, "why are u ferals on the back of the paper again?"
my answer...
'CAUSE THE RICHMOND FOOTBALL CLUB SELLS PAPERS MATE!'
For a team thats had no success for nearly 25 years the media loves us....in bad times they report anything, even in our glory years they raved about us.....(the media would report a broken sprinkler down at Punt road if they could!)
And even if we were undefeated for 5 years, talkback radio would still be jammed with Tiger supporters talkin about the ins and out of their team....(That's just what Tiger people do....we know that's not unusal....but some other clubs couldn't pay their supporters to vent their feelings in the media)
The AFL desperately needs a successful Richmond and hopefully we'll get there soon.
In the meantime, Richmond was founded on tough men in tough times who must have thought spitting on someone was a dog's act.
We can't dump most of the playing list in one hit if we rightly say it's the players fault, but it's now time that this playing group heard the thoughts, values and gameplan of a new man.......it's as simple as that.....no spitting or screaming.......shake Frawley's hand for what he has tried, pay him out and let a fresh voice get into the heads of this playing group NOW.......(Tommorrow never comes)
