I will tell you why you never watched it and that was how Nien destroyed the viewing experience. It didn’t rate so pushed out to late night start times on Season 1.

Then with Season 2 about to start Nien put a notice on screen saying the new series won’t air tonight; instead S1 will be repeated. (Could have been S3 can’t remember exactly)

From that point on it was moved all over the place

I think about then in the early to mid 00’s torrenting took over the FTA shafting that was happening

The same happened to Scrubs and Lost on Severn

Incredibly it still makes me spew when I hear FTA bleating about Streaming services and their growth; they killed the golden goose

Now idk if that’s your reason but out of sight out of mind

I first saw the Sops in a hotel room in Sydney when I was flipping channels waiting for room service & was instantly hooked. Fairly sure it was the "Do not resuscitate" episode, Tony humiliating Bacala & Livia's scheming had me thinking wtf is this show?? One random episode & I already knew it was the best television I'd ever seen. Well, other than Rumpole:p.

I always thought that big muscled up guy that was Tony's bodyguard would have made a good MMA fighter. But I was proved wrong.

He never did have the makings of a varsity athlete.

What I really enjoyed saying to The Lions after last years Granny was.......

Revenge is a dish best served cold cuts.

I don't why but I find Tony falling over and his mum laughing at him very funny. I think because it's so stupid, it's funny like a lot of things in the sopranos.

Also

when he talks in French and she loses it. Hilarious.

The Sopranos had so many random things that could make you laugh and you can relate too.

Watched an episode yesterday where Buschemi asks the doctor to prove Tony and Adrianna weren't getting it on. Only realised to convince him to go in the car he says '' any gun shot wounds to the leg or blunt force trauma '' that he was implying that if he doesn't go in the car, we're gonna **** you up.

Great show, scene and episode.

And Tony tries to give him some money '' It's for the kids. Make a wish foundation '' lol which the doctor declined.

I love the part when Dr Melfi asks Tony about Vito being gay

'' You had no idea he was gay ''
'' Actually I had him pegged the whole time ''

:tearsofjoy:

Gotta love Johnny Cakes.

'' I gotta worn you they're addictive ''

'' Alright. And give me some of those jimmy beans! ''

'' Short stack or tall? )

I used to hate most of them. I couldn't stand Silvio because of that stupid lip face he does, but he's unreal. And that faces makes it better. Furio, Chrissy, Arty, Ralphy, A.J, even Pauley used to make me angry. But these guys are the best of the business.

I think The Sopranos comfortably has every show covered. It would be like a Geelong-Sydney 2022 beat down. The other shows were just never in the hunt and Geelong, massively out of sight.

Been doing a watch through with my partner who's never seen it. She's not that into it, but I appreciate she's watching it for me.

A good assessment of Janice pushing Ralph down the stairs.

It was to sever the ties completely. Janice knew in her own psychotic way that just breaking up would be too hard. She had to attack him because that was the safest and easiest way.

Ralph would never tell anyone she pushed him down the stairs. And nor would she. Ralph also would never retaliate in anyway to further keep the secret. Plus if Tony ever found out it could be bad.

A very selfish way to end a relationship under the circumstances.

It was just easier for her.
