Watched the game again on FOX this morning. What stood out was how much improvement has come in recent times to our list of so called Spuds. No team is ever full of only stars, even Geelong, and those surrounding the stars play roles and get lifted along with the stars. Watching the game I kept thinking how true that is watching how well King, White, Tambling Edwards and others played now we are starting to get a bit of our key talent up and running. 4 weeks ago there were consistent calls for these guys heads but watching them on Sunday you would have no idea that was the case. Good on them and the club for persisting.

King and White were the only spuds before this weekend and I am not willing to say they are all of a sudden solid AFL players. White has one week on one week off it seems and thats not good enough he needs to be good every week and work on having a bit more finess in his game.

King well he did ok on Hurn who imo is no world beater at all never has dominated a game in his career probably the first time he has ever been given that much attention. Going the other way King had a good 2nd qtr but also gave away around 3 FKs also gave away a 50. He has a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNG way to go and he is what 26? I don't see him in our best 22, but for now if they keep contributing its only good for the club.

Also Edwards has been good all season and is a good player, the extra size has given him confidence to get his hands a bit dirtier and defensively he is great for us of the wing

Edwards and tambling are both very talented. Edwards has thrived in a positive development orientated atmosphere. Tambling while probably gone backwards in the amount of influence he has on a game his endeavour is the best it has ever been. Clearly not over his surgery as he is down on his pace and agility. I look at this a massive learning year for the two of them. It can be frustrating watch Bling this year I think it's not about what he is doing on the park but rather how he is going bout his efforts. Hopefully with a proper preseason he will be back to last years form.

As for white and king and probably tuck they are the best example of Wallace and millers failures at development. Average footballers into good ordinary footballers like your hunts, Byrnes, schniders ect. At teams like Geelong and the saints
