starz said:Who will play on the wing this season? seems to me they have an over-abundance of wingers.
Peter Sidorkiewicz said:Jake Webster has got one spot cemented. The other is a toss us between Matt Geyer, Chris Walker and Steve Turner. Bellamy may choose to use Geyer in the halves more often this season which could give Walker the opportunity to cement the other wing spot, while Turner missed all of last season with a serious foot injury so I think he will start the season in Brisbane Norths.

You guys are forgetting Inglis too.
Inglis - winger by default, Webster, Geyer, Walker, Turner.
That's 5 wingers on 1 team, houston we have a problem.

Webster has got hes cemented
It will be Walker vs Turner for Winger spot
as Matt Geyer will come off the bench as a Utility Back.
). I'd put him ahead of Donnelly on the bench ...Steve Turner, played a lot of representative football at a young age. Australian U18 player IIRC. Injury permitting, he is as talented as anyone in the Storm backline and should be able to seal a spot on the wing or at full-back. The only real certainty in the Storm backline is King in the centres. Slater is likely to play full-back - but Inglis and Turner's preferred position is also at full-back. Webster should get first crack on one wing, with Geyer on the other. Inglis will start with King in the centres. But things are likely to change throughout the season, with origin likely to take King and Slater out of calculations, and Walker also thereabouts. A lot will depend on whether Geyer can have a year like he did in 2005, or if his age starts to catch up with him. Injuries will also play their part. The wealth of riches that the Storm have in the backs is a total contrast to the shallow depth of talent they have in the forwards.thebigboy said:Who's Turner, i've never heard of him
