We are heading to more and more American bullsht, we don't need fanfare and fireworks...people just want to watch the game. Leave it alone. The game is more reassembly basketball and so the atmosphere.

Is this down to the club, or the AFL, or the MCG for that matter? I have been to non-Pies games and the same things happen. Try going to a Sydney home game, and see what they ask of the fans between quarters!

At $8 for a smallish mid strength beer? This country is just so over-priced when it comes to sipping a drink in a public place. And what an insult being restricted to mid strength beer, particularly when commuting by public transport.

Totally agree with OP. It's just trite noise pollution. If you want to talk with your mates about the game or anything else, you have to shout to be heard over the crap coming from the P.A. We don't need to be 'amused' during the breaks. I find it insulting and patronising to be told I should be cheering on cue.

They played an NBA game recently with no in-game music or fan engagement activities, and the players hated it.

Mark Jackson was right - it's not aussie rules anymore. I don't know what it is. The sooner soccer takes over, the sooner we can go back to suburban grounds, and play the game for the right reasons.
