good to see some players returning for us... and yeah, should be good!!

(sarah, that guy you like from sydney's there!!)

Both Bizzell and Vardy out can't be good, hopefully they will both be right for round one. I think Vardy is being rested (?) But I'm pretty sure Biz has some kind of injury, forget what.
But hey at least Powell is in!!! :D :D

they said powell is only a CHANCE to play... but still, i reckon he'll get a run - even if its just a short one :D

We are still missing some key players from that side, but I hope we can get up.

hopefully when we have a full side we'll be really strong.
btw, schwarta and vardy seem to have become quite good friends. this is what schwarta said in an interview: “Peter Vardy is just a super person. He really is a funny, funny guy and a really great trainer and a good smart forward that the footy club needs.” interesing hey??

He hasn't played a game for us yet because of injury, so you will have to give him time.

I agree, many Adelaide supporters have been saying this kind of thing about Vardy because he left... Same kinda thing with Grgic (well a LITTLE BIT!! of hatred, and alot of the fact he's crap :D)

yes and ill keep pointing that out UNTIL he proves me wrong. u see i know more about him and i have seen him in action (both on and off the field) so i know what he is capable of. and until the day he proves me wrong. ie consistent performer for us for more than 3 games in a row. i will not bite my tounge and swallow my pride. :p

lol nicki.
as we all know, sometimes when a player is crap at one team, then moves to another, the seem to become alot better. i'm just hoping that the same thing will happen to vardy. i'm just gonna sit in the middle for the time being - i won't bad him, but i won't say he's fansastic either... we'll soon see!

That looks ok to me... I'm not getting my hopes up in regards to Powell and defenetly in regards to Clarky coz we all know what always tends to happen when I'm hyped to see him play.... and yeah thats all I gotta say right now, I hope I can make it but the way I'm going I really doubt it.... I feel horrible!! :(

I can remember the day he kicked 9.1 back in 1994 at the SCG against the Swans. You never got to seem him play before all his knee ops Or. He was absolutely sensational. Many believed he would have been better than Carey had he not done his knee.

At least he is capable of kicking bags anyway.

I started going to the footy in between his 1st and 2nd reconstruction. I was there for one of the last 2, can't remember which one it was, but I’m pretty sure it was at the G. I can remember him getting stretchered off and all the dees supporters around me where in hysterics. It was after a big mark for memory (not sure?)

Was it against Sydney?? If so, he turned in a pack and his knee caved in. I saw it too.

Yeah that could have been it! *sigh* What the Ox could have turned out to be if he had some decent knees.......

I still wish he hadn't had bad knees.

I also remember him against the Doggies in a semi final that same year when he killed them at CHF. Has 10 marks, nearly thirty possies and he just dominated. Garry Lyon kicked 10 that day too.

Ah, the memories.

Your point is............
DID I SAY HE WASN'T CAPABLE?? NO!!!! I just said he didn't..... and its hardly a surprise the way the team played!

*shudders* yeah i saw that and i also saw his 1997 comeback game against the cows and well that was something we never thought we would see. and he "gave away" a free kick with his first possession with a "pushout". all the melbourne fans errupted and its the most ive ever heard the cheersquad yell. LOL :p but god he would have been a superstar if he hadnt had his knee ops.

He would have been a superstar, but really he already is and everyone respects him so much for what he has been through!
