Bummer, seems Aarons is out of both the League Cup Quarter final and the derby to go with Janmaat missing the League Cup, at least we regain Sissoko and Saylor (though I'd rather play Dummett at CB with Haidara at LB than Saylor at CB with Dummett at LB, unless with Janmaat's absence they throw one of Dummett or Haidara there to fill in?).

Interestingly a poll in the Chronicle has more fans wanting to win the cup match over the derby. I personally would rather win both!

Pardew has also categorically said Ben Arfa won't be returning to the club if Hull terminate his loan in January.

In other news, Cashley has been charged by the Scottish FA for breaching a number of rules relating to owning 2 clubs, will be interesting to see what happens at the hearing next month...

Didn't see the game but apparently Alnwick made a mistake for the first 2 goals (not sure about the other 2). We need a loan keeper in pretty desperately IMO. I have nothing against the kid but he isn't ready. He's only going to have his confidence destroyed if we keep playing him.

Also saw a pretty damning stat on Willo.

Read that about Alnwick, not sure if that is true but if it is, really hope that gives us the green light to try and bring someone in before the derby. Not sure how we'd go throwing 17 year old Woodman to the wolves...

Apparently Armstrong hit the post 3 times. Mind boggling he isn't starting ahead of Gouffran.

Looks like Alnwick has been cleared fit and we won't be getting an emergency loan in...lord help us in the derby!

Have nothing against the young man but just think he isn't ready. Hope I'm proven wrong (though doesn't help when you have Willo playing ahead of you!)

True, I guess if nothing else, Gouff is a solid worker so his tracking back may be important to help protect Alnwick as much as possible.

It's times like this it would be good to know the result before deciding to stay up or not. Making you stay up until the end just to see a late winner is brutal.
