I'd take Suarez right now over Torres at any point in his career.

Suarez is the better dribbler and creator of chances, Torres at his prime was the better finisher

You must have forgotten the player he was. Completely irresistible at times.
I used to adore the bloke. No homo.
But I think Suarez has a bit more to his game, Torres a much better finisher, could be absolutely clinical. Suarez just has a bit of everything.

The day clubs start paying £35m for big, fat long haired piss cans just because some idiot decided Andy Carroll is worth £35m is the day we should use Torres as the basis of player valuations now.

The game has changed now, FFP is in place and there are only so many clubs that can pay crazy money for any player without breaching the rules.

And even those clubs that can manage it will he quoting FFP as the reason why they won't pay whatever it takes.

Unexpected side effect of the new rules for some clubs that thought it would be their ticket back to the big time. FWIW Munich won't have a problem with FFP but they don't tend to overpay. £40m is about right to me.

Can see Suarez leaving Liverpool for Bayern Munich in the summer for around £45m.

Lewandowski has rejected a new deal from Dortmund, meaning he will leave the club in the next 18 months (you'd expect this summer).

I wonder if Bayern and Dortmund could broker a swap deal for him and Gomez?

Supposedly Lewandowski will go to Bayern for free next year or for a discounted price after this season. Bayern has done the dodgy and has a verbal agreement with him.

It's out of United and Bayern for Lewandowski, can't see us getting him though unless Rooney does move to CM full-time and either Welbeck or Hernandez leaves.

Hernandez is being swapped for Ronaldo.

They would've made a crazy combo, Torres should've at least given us another 6 months

But then again maybe we did sell him at the right time, just splashed the money wrongly

The Daily Mail says the France international is keen to explore the option of leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer after a breakdown in his relationship with Roberto Mancini.
Nasri is said to have been shocked and angered by his manager’s decision to criticise him publicly last week.
And news of Nasri’s anger has alerted PSG sporting director Leonardo, who is a known admirer of the Frenchman.

Suarez has moved pretty quickly to reassure the supporters of his intentions:

http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/suarez-i-m-extremely-happy

"From the point of view of being at such a big and successful club for so long like Steven and Carra, they are players who have given so much for the club, I'd love to be able to do the same."

"I always say the same thing, every kid or young player growing up dreams of playing here at Liverpool, and today, here I am, highly privileged doing just that."

"I'm here at a club where I always wanted to be and where I always wanted to play, and for that I'm extremely happy."

I forgot footballers never lie.

Obviously there's still a chance he'll leave as there is with any player at any club, but he's regularly gone out of his way to knock this sort of speculation on the head every time it's come up, this isn't just a once off throwaway comment. I think he's more likely to stay than not, in terms of percentages I'd say 75-80% he's still at Liverpool next season.

Man City will do well to get rid of Nasri. Incredibly overrated, lazy, inconsistent footballer. Can do far better IMO

it's frustrating because at his best he is unplayable and an absolute joy to watch. shame it happens so rarely. i think his time was up with that effort in the wall, bobby can tolerate battlers who might not be the most talented in the world, like the barry's and milner's, but they work their arses off. nasri has all the talented in the world and barely makes use of it.
