Which is the WORST squad going to the Pyjama Party--Canada? The Netherlands?

Does anyone know ANYTHING about these tournament weaklings?

Just for the hell of it, I'll say Canada.

Just read that the Sydney Morning Herald is going to be profiling all the teams at the Pyjama Party in the coming days.

Today: Zimbabwe.

I'm actually a Yank and wonder why we can't field a team? Then again, there probably aren't 11 Americans who can play the sport.

There isn't 11 Englishmen that can play the sport,but that hasn't stopped them sending a side.

Isn't Jon Davison [current SA player,ex-Vic player] in the Canadian side ?

Yes, Jon Davidson is playing for the Canucks. He was born in Canada, and, given that he's getting to the end of a solid domestic career he's taken the opportunity to play in a World Cup for Canada even though he's Australian through-and-through.

Fair enough, really.

Don't know who the weakest would be, but I wouldn't think it would be the Netherlands. The standard of cricket there is quite good, although not good enough for the Test arena.

The only god players at the moment from England are, Vaughn, Knight, Collingwood, Caddick and Gough (when fit) appologies to Hussain and Stewart.

Namibia- without a doubt. At the the ICC trophy tournament, to determine who would play in the world cup, they were the surprise packet of the tournament and went much further than expected.

Canada has had a reasonably healthy cricket scene and played international cricket before Australia! Netherlands are also of a pretty good standard, not that either team should trouble any of the regular ODI teams, except maybe Kenya.
