I'm feeling a lot less confident about the result of the derby if the weather stays poor- the contrast between the eagles in fine weather and the eagles in wet weather was demonstrated all too graphically with the two halves of football against the bombers last week. Unless the current front breaks before saturday night, we could be looking at a wet and windy derby, which would make our big guns like Wilson and Lynch far less useful.

According to the BOM website, the forecast has the current front passing out of influence tomorrow.
However, a second front will arrive on Saturday so the forecast is windy conditions and showers developing for Saturday....should be entrenched by Saturday nite.
Frodo you may get a wet ar$e! mate.

Hey, hey - enough of that stuff !! they may have farmer and medhurst , but what about phill matera and wirra, plus all of our goal kicking midfiled.

I dont care if the game is played at beatty park, we'll still win.

To be honest, I think we can beat Freo in any weather, if it was a team of note though i would be more worried.

Watch for all the posts from the purple pansies after that. I agree totally though Jod!

Imperial Purple.
Am i the only person who thinks this sounds like a title for a low budget porno film?

Nah, it's a brand of soap, isn't it?

Nero wore the imperial purple, and he made his horse a senator.

Whereas Fremantle made Shaun McManus their captain. :)

The weather doesn't worry me too much. Last week we finished off Essendon when it was starting to bucket down with rain in the last quarter. My only worry is that this is only our 2nd night match of the year. The other night game (vs Sydney) we were very lucky to win that game. Anyone else share my worry?

I dont think a night game should be too much of a concern, we've got close to our best team on the field so we have no excuses if we lose

lucky i got a seat under cover :D
