From memory, the crows issue was that some players were wearing the 2013 template, instead of the new 2014, so it wasn't Pumas problem, just the players preference.

There was two elements to this.

The tags at the bottom of the jumper was changing for the following season, so you could tell the different between a 2013 and a 2014 jumper.

There was some, but not many, players wearing 2013 template guernseys that actually had a 2014 tag, so this suggests to me that the decision to go with a new template was done late in the piece.

There was a clear preference from a small group of players for the 2013 jumper. Mainly Daniel Talia and Scott Thompson, who I believe wore the 2013 jumper all year other special occasions (1st home game v Swans, name on the back of jumper match v GWS). The other players that preferenced the 2013 template were Matthew Wright, Jason Porplyzia, Luke Brown and to some extent Patrick Dangerfield (Danger generally swapped jumpers after half time).

Interestingly, the 2013 clash jumper never featured in the 2014 season. I assume they may have auctioned these off so they didn't have any left?

Yeah our retail guernseys for 2014 had the old collar and no side panels, but the new manufacturers tag with the team logo. Also the players did their pre season photo shoots for 2014 in 2013 guernseys, the first time we saw the new template was nab 2014, so it must have been very late that the new templates arrived at both Adelaide and west coast.

Its simple, Yellow bibs were being saved for next year but are now redundant as the Wings will be our home jumper therefore the bibs can come out early to never be used again after this season.....
I didn't think it'd been confirmed though. Weren't we waiting for news later in the year?

Wouldn't it fall into the same category as the Saints jumper last year with the Saints logo/front sponsor swapping positions?
If it's more than one guy maybe.
If it's just one player, it's more like Jason McCartney's Bali jumper.

It's been spotted on 3 different players so far throughout the season.

So where have you seen these home-badged clash jumpers?

Been able to get a hold of some 2015 player issues, through Puma, all the home one's I've seen have the blue bib, but all the clash guernsey's, are home sponsored ones, and they all have the yellow bib. I tried to have a look on AFL photos for some pre season pics from this year, cause I thought we may have worn the home clash during NAB cup, but I can't find any. So in theory, the one's I've seen are 2015 stock, but if so, the clash has yellow, and the home doesn't, very strange.

Sorry for my ignorance- but have the WCE actually approved a return to the traditional wings for next season? Or is it just speculation/people power?

Ive seen a few pictures of Simmo and his boy on social media lately, his Son looks to be wearing a #14 player issued training guernsey.

Yeah he definitely was. The pic I saw was from ages ago, possibly mid season, training in Melbourne, or may have been Tassie. He was wearing a yellow Duggan.

To be the coaches son ay!!

What's the deal with this jumper?

The seller ended the auction early, but obviously the guernsey is not a player issue, right? The BGC logo doesn't quite align with the edge of the yellow panel, and the Puma logo is missing. It reminds me of those supporter pre-season jumpers with the number 7 on the back.

Thats a pre season strip from the late 90's.

Cuffs look thin, player issues of that time had quite thick cuffs. The number looks good though. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Puma logo on guernseys of this time were printed on after the sublimation process anyway, so that would excuse no logo.

I would say it's legit, maybe there are factory quirks or it's a prototype.

My 2006 Selwood Heritage is missing the front Puma label stitched on, for example.

The Puma logo on the 1997 pre-season is sublimated.

I could write an essay on the quirks of bgc jumpers. Not all player issues have the bgc line up with the yellow/white border. I think the group consensus was signed off on when only two or three PI jumpers were in the hands of collectors. The matera you pictured is lacking the puma logo on the chest in the centre or the left, it is also lacking the puma team? Manufactures tag on the bottom right which is usually the dead giveaway in bgc retails.
The #7 bc jumpers were actually Frasers gang? And given out to Melbourne Wce junior members, they are usually child sized and even though they have sublimated numbers they also have the puma team stitch in patch

That black logo is rubbery and most likely heat transferred. I reckon it would could fall of through years of use and being washed and dried.

In fact my 88 puma jacket has the same rubberised branding and it is peeling away
