How good will it be with Scarlett and Harley back to have Wojac running out of defence?

Bloody good return from his knee reco.

Highlight of the day :thumbsu:

Indeed, didn't get to see the game today, but from what they were saying it was a great game back for Monica. Glad that he could make it back into the team and play the way he did.

Could not agree more with ya mate!

His tackle, cant remember which quarter when he ran n brought a guy down for holding the ball was awesome.

His pace will def help! On ya Monica!! :thumbsu: :D

(btw, it absolute shat me Scarlo was out. May he NEVER do another stupid thing like that again for the year. I mean look at it this way.. do ya think he could have maybe been worth 2 points difference to the scoreboard?!

Sigh, yeah i thought so....)

I've probably been one of his harsher critics, but he does add some pace back in the line-up and although he looked a little rusty, there were some really good signs.

Just his kicking that has always worried me.

oh good i'm so glad he played and played okay

i didnt see the game today (bit hard from scotland!) but have read all the articles and spoken to my family who were there, and nobody mentioned him so i wasn't sure if he had played or not.

great little player

So happy to see Woja back. His run was impressive considering the injury he is returning from. Very impressed, just has to keep control of his kicking now and he'll be an important player either in midfield or defence. That running really was awesome!

I always loved Woja! Must admit though that haircut is gross. Cut it all off again Woja! Much better with the short hair.

His kicking might not be great but at least he runs the lines and doest ******** fart around Likey Lingy chipping it sideways, he gets in and under wins the hard ball then uses his past effectively. Unlink Byrnes and Tenace.

Monica seems to have bulked up and maybe even got faster. And they sacked our fitness coach.....

Players seemed in slow motion around him.

He is also so tuff- should only get better as the season goes on.

The haircut screams Spriggs and he was rusty as you would expect but it is good to have another option.

The haircut made him look like a little girl, especially standing next to Ottens at the anthem. Played well though.

how does this guy go from not being able to make our best 22 a week ago in another thread and is now like revered as a player.

i like the guy and think his contribution is highly underrated and they should have played the polish national anthem in honour of his return to the game.

Who said he wasnt in our best 22??
Coming back from a season ending injury last year is hard.. and he is finally back in. Ive always thought he was in our best 22.

go the flying dashing pole!!!
I think you wlil find that chapmanmagic35's initial point was that he wasnt sure if Wojja would be able to make it back in, as Wojja being out for a year hes let others step up. he never said he wouldnt be able to make it, more that it will be hard.
And i still agree, just because he was in this week doesnt mean that he will now be in our starting 22 from now on in. He still has work to do.

And not everyone agreed with Chamanmagic35 either, most said he would fit back in ...er der.. in that thread

considering that his competition is slade and d. johnson at the moment the guy should be playing over either of those two even if he is half injured. he is a shoein to the starting 22.

they giveaway very bloody stupid free kicks and the atrocious 50m penalties that result in goals. it seems every week johnson feels the need to give one away and slade hitting guys after they have marked is just stupid.

you probably think ray sterret would be a walk in to our starting 22!!!

Yes, he is above Slade and i think Callan is aswell. If Callan plays a good month of footy, i think Slade should head off back to the 2nds, if not before then.

Disagree with DJ though. Not sure who is the better player, but they both play different roles. One shuts down opponents and can create oppurtinitys up the ground, and the other is a speedy defender. Depth, don't you jsut love it!

I too have been one of Monica's tougher critics, however it was quite exciting to see him back in the blue and white hoops.

It seemed like he did not miss a beat. It was not evident that he had missed a year of footy. If anything he seems faster and bigger. Not sure on the haircut though. Very homo-ish!

I stated that he must earn his spot back in our starting 22 via performances in the 2's. He has done that and is will now be in our starting 22 for the remainer of the season IMO.

What was impressive was his attack on the ball and on the ball carrier in the second half. He seriously looked fast, faster than anyone out there. He gave one of his trademark floaters at full pace but then he kicked a great long pass to one of the forwards. Great comeback game.

*Very homo-ish!*

er...how old are yer? i mean, aint the gay stereotypes all neat and clean? - but thats just as ridiculous and beside the point.

i kinda like his hair - sets him apart from all the god awful faux-hawks, mullets and cocky tailed things gettin round the league these days.

Once you've seen a band-wagon, its too late.....
