Walkthrough of Mission 1
Looks like they have lost none of the atmosphere that made the old games so good.
Still pumped for this.

http://www.exophase.com/game/thief-xbox/achievements/ trophy list here. Looks like it will require multiple play-throughs to get the plat.

Interesting last trophy. Hopefully that means the game will be around 15 hours or so, don't want have have to wait til the game ticks over the 15th hour before I finish it.

Thief has no jump button. Wtf am I meant to do whilst running around aimlessly?
Does it have a hide in shadows button? (roll d20)

Will buy it for PS3. Probably not for quite a while though - no time to play presently, and have a fair back catalogue I want to buy first.

I'll probably buy it just because I want more games on my PS4.
This is my main reason for it. Was really hyped for it at first but has died down a lot upon seeing reviews and what not. People have the game in the US already and have not really been kind to it. Should still be decent though.

It seems it is one of those games or is cool to hate on gaf. If we tweak the options we can dig the original thief out of it I reckon.

If its like the original you're in for a treat, dishonoured is shit.
I hope so. As I said my hype has dwindled since its announcement, but am keen for Thursday to roll around.

From what i've read the people that liked Dishonoured are disappointed, the people that like the original series are not disappointed. So I think thats good news for me. Hoping since the game has broken street date in the US it will over here like Tomb Raider did.

From what I've seen, seems like a fairly so-so game. Loved the original Thief games and loved Dishonoured, but I'll just wait till it's 10 bucks on Steam.

Apparently the console versions are 30FPS and occasionally stutter below that. Gross.

I can't recall a game getting such a wide variety of review scores.
I was sort of expecting a 7.5 - 8.5 game and I suppose it's nearly in that range.
The final paragraph of the Game Informer review (which scored it 80) gives me a fair bit of hope it actually is close to what I was hoping for:

If you’re content to save your game every couple minutes and enjoy a slower-paced stealth game, then Thief rewards you with plenty of moments so tense you might catch yourself holding your breath. Eidos-Montreal may have adhered too closely to the series’ roots, resulting in a reboot that suffers from classic problems like simplistic combat and trial-and-error sneaking missions. However, locked behind this old-school game design is a gem that stealth fans should eye up for their collection.
