what am i proud of? I'm proud that when hawks started to get on a roll, we stuck with it and kept trying, kept tackling and chipping away. Yes their inaccuracy helped us significantly but the fact of the matter is if u actually watched the intensity in that last qtr, richmond put in a very respectable effort.

1. Can't be happy with losing. Especially when beaten by that many scoring shots.

2. Good effort to pressure and tackle the Hawks to make them turn it over a lot of times for a supposedly top team

3. Good effort to stick to a game plan to counteract Hawthorn's constant use of the same pocket. Buddy is going to need some new tricks, especially against the good teams. Geelong would have smashed Hawthorn tonight. Undoubtedly our pressure and pushing them wide forced a lot of tough shots and hence the points.

4. Still just don't have the cattle to go with a side like that.

Points 2&3 should be a given for a professional football team with blokes getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. We're working on point 4 and was good to see Morton and Jack combining well. But at the end of the day, see point 1.

im not happy with losing, i simply put it that i was proud of the way we applied ourselves against a much better opposition.

We still have a long way to go, but the signs are good if our youngsters are willing to fight a game out like that to the end.

I have been following the Tigers for almost 30 years and you have to face facts Tigerbait.Sure the application was fine but it counts for nothing in the end.The only way it does count is when we win and to do this we have to dominate the game.This means the centre and the way we move the ball.Hawthorn dominated the game today not us.
We also need other players to step up near the end and win the game.Only Richo tried today.This is why Deledio and Tambling were drafted.To be matchwinners.Sadly they failed again.Deledio has class and skill but i just want him to dominate a game.

Gotta be proud of the boys. A loss isn't good but after Round 3 it looked like another spoon or bottom 4 finish.
