It will be extraordinarily controversial.
Richmond wins the free kick count 30-3 and the match winning goal is kicked by David Astbury after he is given a free kick for a deliberate Norf rushed behind under EXTREME pressure and is also given four 50 metre penalties taking him from goal line to goal line.

Jayden Short loses his boot. Someone trips over the boot. 50m is paid as the boot doesn't immediately kick the ball back. We lose by 2 points. AFL confirm the umpires made the correct call, and the boot is banned for the next 2 matches.

Lindsay Thomas in the crowd ducks to avoid an errant football accidentally gets clipped by a Richmond fan carrying a tray of beers. Deboy pays a free to lolnorf who kick the winning goal. Goldust and Thomas chair Deboy of the ground.

When do we find out who the umpires are
Head over to the preview thread gents, all is being revealed in there :D

We race out to a 10-goal lead at half-time. As the umpires come out after the break, two of them trip over each other and injure themselves. Over the loudspeaker an appeal is made for 'Any umpire who could help out'. Curtis Deboy leaps down from level 3 - already wearing his flouro pyjamas.

At the 3-quarter time break, with the Tigers desperately clinging to a 4-goal lead, Dustin Martin takes off his Richmond jumper and puts on a North one. He then stiff-arms the entire Richmond huddle and runs off to join the the Kangaroos group.

In the last 10 seconds, with Richmond leading by 2 points, Jayden Short heroically saves a certain goal, managing to stop the ball 0.0000001 mm from the goal line. However, he knocks himself out, breaks his neck and destroys his knees in the process. Lying there, unconcious, and unable to move, with even opposition fans applauding his efforts, the grass beneath his prone body continues to grow, and the ball creeps over the line. Umpire Deboy pays deliberate.

Other than that - bit of a meh game.

Dusty farts just before the centre bounce, umpire pays free kick and takes norf to the goal line.

Whatever the stupid thing is, it is bound to cost us a 50 and a goal and will be reviewed by the footy media hundreds of times until a counter comment is made by the AFL saying either A) "we are happy with the decisions the umpires made"; or B) "we will ask the umpiring department to make the necessary adjustments to never let decisions like that be made again.

If B, the rule changes will come back against us against the Swans straight after the bye resulting in a 50 and a goal against us.

Tigers are up by 5 points with 20 seconds to go, Jayden Short has a shot on goal from 50 but misses, so the ump pays a deliberate rushed behind against him. Jack puts his hands in the air with that crazy look on his face and the umpires pay a 50m penalty which takes the kangas to 60m out. as the siren goes, Scott Thompson boots a Malcolm Blight torp that sails through and we lose by a point.

Derwayne jumps up and down and excitedly squeals "oh (De)boy Richmond just can't hold a lead"

AFL issues a nothing to see here on Monday

Tigers take the lead, ball returns on the centre, umpire (who is keen not to lose his job for poor bouncing of the ball) slams it into the deck so hard it goes through the surface (which, it later emerges, has been damaged by the annual gathering of the Philatelic Society), deflects off a Royal Park-bound train, and emerges in the goalsquare, whereupon someone such as Ben Brown earns immortality in threads such as "hacks who always kill us":

AFL concludes correct decision was made and the bounce couldn't be recalled because it didn't technically bounce.

The way your mob is travelling, this is plausible.

Cotchin gets head ripped off twice to play on calls,Norf now in the safety zone, have another crack at Cotch's noggin and his head falls off and rolls towards the Norf goal,Brown gets a free for hands in the side and soccers Cotch's head through for a goal.
AFL come out and deny Brown was using the wrong "ball".
