I've watched a few port games, including last year, and Thurstans has been impressive in most. Before he got injured last year he looked like he'd hit his straps. He seems to be doing well for himself this year.

I think if he was in WA we'd probably call him Haddrill, i'm sure the south aussies rate him but to everyone else maybe he is a no name. Certainly not a hack though.

Haddrill got flogged tonight, don't think he won a contest :(

I'm not here to make trouble as an opposition supporter. But I was at the game last night and the game against west coast earlier this season. Thurstans playing well in both.
My thoughts are that fremantle and west coasts defences aren't their greatest asset. So the second tier forwards of the opposition (thurstans for port), have a lot of breathing space, particularly last night where treadrea was obviusly a main focus.
Thurstans was on their list for 5 years and never got a game. Surprsing really.

Very difficult to barrack against Thurstans, spent most of his time on the Port list playing for Sturt in the SANFL and was one of the best players in the 2002 Premiership side.

Just had to remember what guernsey he was in.
